Abstract: A modular air-handling plenum for capable of supporting surgical apparatus or other objects is disclosed. The plenum is usually rectangular, may be formed of sheet metal, and features a truss spanning the width of the plenum to carry the weight of the apparatus. The plenum itself is attached to the ceiling of a room. An air handling component may be included to provide filtered and/or conditioned air in the vicinity of the suspended apparatus, or the plenum may be used strictly as an apparatus support, with no air-conditioning function. An ordinary suspended ceiling may also be mounted in the plenum for continuity with the remainder of the room.

Abstract: An adjustable equipment mount assembly is configured to be adjustably secured within an overhead support module that is configured to be secured to a structure, such as a ceiling of an enclosed room. The overhead support module is configured to deliver air to the structure. The assembly may include an equipment mounting plate configured to connect to equipment, one or more first adjustable support members configured to allow the equipment mounting plate to be adjusted between different positions with respect to the overhead support module in a first direction, and one or more second adjustable support members configured to allow the equipment mounting plate to be adjusted between different positions with respect to the overhead support module in a second direction that differs from the first direction.

Abstract: A modular data center includes a unitary rack having multiple side-by-side bays which are arranged to carry electronic components. The rack has a first passageway on its front side which provides access to the electronic components mounted in the bays. The rack has a second passageway located adjacent to the back side of the bays. A plurality of fans circulate cooling air vertically in a first direction through either the first or second passageway and then horizontally through the bays. In the preferred embodiment, the air flows vertically in the opposite direction in the other passageway back to the fan to be cooled and recirculated. The rack and fans can either be inserted into a trailer or container or walls can be built around them to provide a modular unit.
