  • Patent number: 10238033
Abstract: A split reel assembly for a header of a combine harvester is provided. The split reel has two reel assemblies driven by a central support assembly. A pivotable reel finger assembly is incorporated into a medial end of each reel assembly to deflect crop material away from the central support assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070249414
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for opening size of sieve segments of the cleaning system of an agricultural combine disposed in end to end relation, which allows jointly adjusting the sieve sizes, or separate adjustment, and which allows easy and convenient removal and reinstallation of the sieve segments. The mechanism includes an adjusting element in connection with each of the sieve segments, which is movable in a predetermined manner for effecting adjustments in the opening size thereof. Connecting elements connect together the adjusting elements for joint adjustment, and are disconnectable to allow individual adjustment. The predetermined manner of movement can be, for instance, a simple rotational movement, and the connecting elements can include and elongate connecting element, such as a rod or tube which can extend over a substantial portion of the sieve segments.

  • Publication number: 20050020331
Abstract: A drive for a cleaning fan of an agricultural combine that provides resilient flexibility in connection to a structural element of the combine and/or to the fan for correcting or allowing angular misalignment and axial movement between an output of the drive and the fan input. In one embodiment the drive includes a resiliently flexible member connecting the output of the motor in rotatably driving relation to the rotatable input of the fan, the flexible member having sufficient resiliently flexibility so as to allow limited variations in relative angular orientation and axial spacing between the input and the output. In another embodiment a mounting element for mounting the motor to the structural element includes a resiliently flexible member for supporting and holding the motor in alignment with the fan while allowing a limited amount of relative axial and angular movement therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20050013685
Abstract: A fan for a cross flow fan assembly, including a plurality of elongate fan blades supported in an axial cylindrical pattern about a rotational axis by disk shape fan blade mounting members located adjacent ends of the blades. The fan blades have radial outer end portions defining an outer diameter of the fan, radial inner end portions opposite the radial outer end portions, and curved intermediate portions between the radial outer end portions and the radial inner end portions, respectively. Each of the fan blades is oriented such that the radial outer end is at about a 28° angle to a line tangent to the fan diameter at the outer end portion thereof, and the radial inner end portion is directed radially inwardly directly toward the axis or such that a line tangential to the radial inner end portion will pass through the axis.

  • Patent number: 5830062
Abstract: An agricultural combine having an enlarged cleaning area for enhancing the handling capacity of the machine without increasing the outside configuration thereof. The agricultural combine includes an elongated walled body arranged about and along an elongated separating mechanism. The combine further includes a cleaning station having a generally horizontal sieve disposed below the separating station so as to directly receive materials passing therefrom. The cleaning station further includes a blower assembly for directing a pressurized stream of air from an outlet end upwardly through the sieve thereby effecting a further cleaning function of the grain. The clean grain passing through the cleaning station falls into a clean grain area from whence an elevator transports the clean to grain an enhanced holding tank defined within the walled body of the combine.
