  • Publication number: 20120255511
Abstract: The conventional automobile is powered solely by an internal combustion engine. Recent automobiles have been produced which are powered by natural gas. This improvement aims to add an external-combustion steam engine to the mix. The envisioned automobile can be thought of as a natural gas-steam powered hybrid automobile. By utilizing steam power, the fuel efficiency of the current state of automotive technology can be significantly augmented.

  • Patent number: 8047312
Abstract: A much more fuel-efficient automotive vehicle can be made utilizing an internal combustion engine paired to a conventional piston-type steam engine. There is a gasoline-powered boiler to produce the steam as well as a condenser to recycle spent steam.

  • Publication number: 20110162898
Abstract: The conventional automobile is powered solely by gasoline or diesel. Recent automobiles have been produced which incorporate electric motors either in tandem with a diesel-powered engine or alone. This improvement aims to add an external-combustion steam engine to the mix. The envisioned automobile can be thought of as a diesel-steam powered hybrid automobile. By utilizing steam power, the fuel efficiency of the current state of automotive technology can be significantly augmented.

  • Publication number: 20100229554
Abstract: The conventional automobile is powered solely by gasoline. Recent automobiles have been produced which incorporate electric motors either in tandem with a gasoline-powered engine or alone. This improvement aims to add an external-combustion steam engine to the mix. The envisioned automobile can be thought of as a gas-electric-steam power trihybrid automobile. By utilizing steam power, the fuel efficiency of the current state of automotive technology can be significantly augmented. The envisioned automobile is powered primarily by a steam engine along with an electric motor and a gasoline-powered boiler. The automobile uses the electric motor to start and after warming-up utilizes a steam powered external combustion engine whose steam is produced by a boiler which utilizes gasoline or other hydrocarbon as a fuel source.

  • Publication number: 20090144247
Abstract: A persistent point-of-interest search is performed during map panning. A persistent search criteria module identifies a search criteria from a first mapping tile request and stores the search criteria in association with a particular wireless device. A mapping tile module identifies a neighboring mapping tile from a second mapping tile request and performs a point-of-interest search for the neighboring mapping tile with the stored search criteria. In this manner, a user need only enter a search criteria for a point-of-interest once, the point-of-interest being displayed automatically for subsequent map tiles displayed for the user.
