  • Patent number: 10824574
Abstract: A multi-port storage device multi-socket memory access system includes a plurality of processing subsystems interconnected by at least one processing subsystem interconnect, a respective local memory subsystem for each of the processing subsystems, and a storage system that provides a respective connection to each of the processing subsystems. The storage system receives a memory access command and uses it to determine a first local memory subsystem that includes a memory location that is identified in the memory access command. The storage system then uses a connection mapping to identify a first connection to a first processing subsystem for which the first local memory subsystem is provided. The storage system then accesses the first memory subsystem through the first connection, via the first processing system, and without utilizing the at least one processing subsystem interconnect, in order to execute the memory access command.

  • Publication number: 20200084097
Abstract: A blockchain-based configuration profile provisioning system includes a client device that generates and broadcasts a blockchain transaction that identifies the client device and is directed to a blockchain address that is included in a blockchain. A blockchain device receives the blockchain transaction broadcast by the client device, executes a smart contract associated with the blockchain address, and determines that the execution of the smart contract has provided an indication that the client device identified in the blockchain transaction is authorized to receive a configuration profile. In response, the blockchain device causes a configuration profile token to be generated and transmitted. A configuration profile system receives the configuration profile token and, in response, retrieves and transmits the configuration profile to the client device.

  • Patent number: 9891863
Abstract: Systems and methods for handling Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) drives in a tiered storage system. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: identify, among data stored in a first storage medium, a data subset that has a selected access pattern, wherein the selected access pattern is indicative of how often data is updated; and move the data subset from the first storage medium to one or more SMR drives.
