  • Patent number: 11203387
Abstract: A bicycle seat post isolator assembly constructed to be fixedly engaged in a seat post receiving opening in a bicycle frame. A seat post gripper includes an elongated inner tubular body with an outer elastomeric layer/covering, inserted into the opening to receive a seat post coaxially therein. The layer/covering is positioned between the body and the bicycle frame. A retaining structure designed to be fixed adjacent an edge of the seat post receiving opening with a portion extending into the opening to only engage portions of the outer elastomeric layer/covering of the seat post gripper so as to lock the seat post gripper in the seat post receiving opening, whereby the layer/covering of the gripper is positioned between the body of the gripper with the seat post inserted coaxially into the gripper and the bicycle frame.

  • Patent number: 8075009
Abstract: Bicycle derailleur mounting apparatus for use with a suspension bicycle including a front triangle and a rear triangle coupled to allow limited relative pivotal movement or travel therebetween during operation. The apparatus includes a derailleur link having a derailleur mounted thereon. Mounting structure mounts the derailleur link relative to one of the front triangle and the rear triangle to move independently of the front triangle and the rear triangle during travel. The independent movement is driven as a function of travel position of the front triangle and the rear triangle. The mounting structure is designed to position the derailleur to maintain shifting performance, to maintain chain retention, and to maintain good front derailleur to chainstay clearance, at desired points along the travel.

  • Patent number: 8007041
Abstract: A lightweight, adjustable seat clamping assembly for attaching a seat to a bicycle or like cycle comprised of three links assembled together to create three parallel pivotal axes that form a triangular pattern. One link contains the seat post. Another link contains the seat. The third link provides support between the first two. With respect to the seat post, angular position and horizontal clamping offset are adjusted by altering the positions of the three pivotal axes. Horizontal seat position is adjusted by shifting the seat horizontally within the assembly. The assembly can incorporate a calibration scale that assists the rider in determining and remembering the seat's angular position.

  • Patent number: 6854748
Abstract: The present invention provides improved boards and board materials for use in various sports and leisure context. In particular embodiments of the present invention, the boards are well suited for use in skateboards. The board may be provided with varying numbers of layers of material as well as include various edges and protective guards that are placed on the board. Additionally, the protective edges and guards are integrated in novel techniques, which prevent such guards falling off the board during use. Additionally, the board used in a deck assembly of a skateboard (or other board) is comprised of a novel construction of a lightweight yet rigid material in combination with an even lighter material. Different materials may be substituted in and out of the board in order to adjust the physical characteristics of the board.
