  • Publication number: 20190007366
Abstract: A customer may request a service endpoint for a service in their virtual network on a provider network. In response, a service endpoint is generated in the customer's virtual network, a local IP address in the IP address range of the customer's virtual network is assigned to the service endpoint, and a DNS name is assigned to the service endpoint. Resources on the customer's virtual network resolve the DNS name of the service endpoint to obtain the local IP address of the service endpoint and send service requests for the service to the local IP address of the service endpoint. The service endpoint adds routing information to the service requests and sends the service requests over the network substrate to be routed to the service.

  • Patent number: 10170116
Abstract: A system capable of generating and storing progress data associated with third party services. A voice enabled device may receive voice commands and the system may perform natural language understanding (NLU) to interpret the voice commands, determine a corresponding process and send instructions to a third party server associated with the process. In order to resume the process after the process is interrupted, the system may save and/or cause the third party server to save progress data and/or a checkpoint corresponding to a status of the process at the time that the process is interrupted. The system may use the progress data to resume the process at a later point based on the status. In addition, the system may track processes associated with saved progress data/checkpoints and may interpret incoming voice commands based on the tracked processes.

  • Patent number: 10166370
Abstract: Embodiments of a catheter insertion device are discussed comprising: an approximately hollow cylindrical catheter sleeve, at whose distal end a catheter is attached; a needle sleeve with a hollow needle, which is attached thereto and which, when ready for use, extends through the catheter sleeve and the catheter, and; a needle protective element that is arranged inside the catheter sleeve while being able to move on the needle. Said needle protective element has an engaging section that engages with an engaging device, which is formed in the vicinity of the needle tip, when the hollow needle is withdrawn from the catheter sleeve. A check valve is placed inside the catheter sleeve between the catheter and the needle protective element. The hollow needle, when ready for use, extends through said check valve, and the check valve automatically closes once the needle is withdrawn.
