  • Patent number: 9443025
Abstract: Responsive to selecting, by a source system, a representative listing of an entity located on a provider system, the representative listing having first identification data and a first provider-supplied external identifier, the source system searches the provider system for additional listings having identification data matching the first identification data. The source system receives, from the provider system, a potential matching listing having identification data matching the first identification data and having a second provider-supplied external identifier that differs from the first provider-supplied external identifier. The source system designates the potential matching listing as a duplicate listing. The source system transmits, to the provider system, a request to suppress the designated duplicate listing on the provider system, the request comprising the second provider-supplied external identifier.

  • Patent number: 9443953
Abstract: A technique relates to forming a transistor. A dummy gate is formed on a substrate with spacers on both sides. A source and a drain are formed in the substrate, where the source and the drain are positioned under the spacers. An interlayer dielectric is formed on top of the substrate, the spacers, and the dummy gate. The interlayer dielectric is planarized along with part of the spacers and the dummy gate. The dummy gate is removed, thereby leaving an opening. A sacrificial layer is deposited on top of the substrate in a bottom of the opening. The sacrificial layer includes at least one of silicon germanium and/or germanium. The sacrificial layer is removed from the substrate in the bottom of the opening, thereby growing an interfacial oxide layer on the substrate in the opening. A high-? dielectric layer is deposited on top of the interfacial oxide layer.

  • Patent number: 9440649
Abstract: A method and system for mitigating the impact of a vehicle collision senses location, speed, orientation, and direction of movement data of a host vehicle and an interfering vehicle that has moved or is moving into the path of the host vehicle. A control unit analyzes the data and determines whether a collision is unavoidable. If so, the control unit determines a vehicle path for the host vehicle that will minimize the effects of the collision. By changing the vehicle path, the impact of the collision is less direct and the effect on both of the vehicles is mitigated to some degree.

  • Patent number: 9444598
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device (e.g., a transmitter) determines a level of error protection of each bit position within symbols of a particular constellation map used for modulation-based communication, and also determines priority levels of application data bits to be placed into a communication frame. Application data bits may then be placed into symbols of the communication frame, where higher priority application data bits are placed into bit positions with greater or equal levels of protection than bit positions into which lower priority application data bits are placed. The communication frame may then be transmitted to one or more receivers with an indication of how to decode the placement of the application data bits within the symbols. In another embodiment, the particular constellation map may be dynamically selected from a plurality of available constellation maps, such as based on communication channel conditions and/or applications generating the data.

  • Patent number: 9443035
Abstract: A set of ordered predicted completion strings including strings of ideographs are presented to a user as the user enters text in a text entry box (e.g., a browser or a toolbar). The user entered text may include zero or more ideographs followed by one or more phonetic characters, or the entered text may be one or more. The predicted completion strings can be in the form of URLs or query strings. The ordering may be based on any number of factors (e.g., a query's frequency of submission from a community of users). URLs can be ranked based on an importance value of the URL. The sets of ordered predicted completion strings are obtained by matching a fingerprint value of the user's entry string to a fingerprint to table map which contains the set of ordered predicted completion strings. The generation of the ordered prediction strings takes into account multiple phonetic representations of certain strings of ideographs.

  • Patent number: 9445472
Abstract: Multiple LEDs connected in series are driven by DC voltage that is provided by a diode rectifier, the diode rectifier being connected to a three-phase power source and converting the three-phase currents from the three-phase power source into the DC voltage that is used to drive the light emitting diodes. In order to reduce ripple in the DC voltage, the series-connected light emitting diodes can be divided into a first set and a second set, and a first constant current source is provided that drives the first set, and a second constant current source is provided that drives the second set. The first and second constant current sources are both connected across the outputs of the rectifier circuit, and operate to drive the respective sets of light emitting diodes in alternation. The capability for dimming can be provided, as well as back-up single phase operation.
