  • Patent number: 11793646
Abstract: A prosthetic implant replaces hyaline cartilage in a synovial joint with a flexible polymer sliding surface, preferably of hydrogel, on a segmented support with an array of adjacent segments to which the hydrogel is molded. Adjacent segments are laterally and angularly displaceable permitting the implant to conform to rounded or irregular surfaces or to be rolled or folded for arthroscopic placement. Tension cables threaded through segments along a circuit can cinch segments together for stiffening the supporting layer and/or the cable can pull the implant against a bone surface. Adjacent segments can have inter-engaged structures. In some embodiments the segments are carried on a flexible foil or fibrous sheet.

  • Patent number: 11797417
Abstract: Disclosed systems relate to propagating tracing across a distributed software application. In an example, an application logs tracing data for a web page from an original server. The application determines, at the web browser, that the web page from the original server requires a request to an external server outside a domain of the original server. The application interrogates the external server to determine whether the external server allows tracing headers in requests. The application updates an allow list, at the web browser, to indicate that the external server allows tracing headers in requests from the original server. The application injects a tracing header in the request based on a result of the interrogation. The application sends, from the web browser to the external server, the request with the tracing header. The external server is configured to log tracing data based on the tracing header.

  • Patent number: 11800819
Abstract: A non-volatile memory structure may include a phase change memory comprising a phase change material. The non-volatile memory structure may include a Schottky diode in series with the phase change memory, wherein a Schottky barrier of the Schottky diode is a surface of the phase change memory. This may be accomplished through a proper selection of materials for the contact of the phase change memory. This may create an integrated diode-memory structure which may control directionality of current without a penalty on the footprint of the structure.

  • Patent number: 11793897
Abstract: A self-sanitizing surface structure configured to selectively refract light, a method of fabricating a self-sanitizing surface configured to selectively refract light, and a method of decontaminating a surface using selectively refracted light. A waveguide including a support layer below a propagating layer is positioned over a substrate as a self-sanitizing layer. In the absence of a contaminant or residue on the waveguide, UV light injected into the propagating layer is constrained within the propagating layer due to total internal reflection. When a residue is present on the self-sanitizing surface structure, light may be selectively refracted at or near the interface with the residue along the side of the waveguide to destroy the residue. The self-sanitizing surface structure may be configured to refract a suitable amount of UV light in response to a particular type of residue or application.

  • Patent number: 11793543
Abstract: An automatic insertion device and method of using the same is provided. A vibrator and an extender are connected to a penetrating member and are both in electrical communication with a controller. A detector identifies a subcutaneous target for insertion and the insertion angle, distance and trajectory for the penetrating member are calculated. The vibrator provides vibrations to the penetrating member and the extender advances the penetrating member for insertion. The vibrator and extender are in electrical communication with one another during the insertion process and adjustments to the insertion speed are made based on feedback of vibrational load encountered by the vibrator during insertion, and adjustments to the vibrations are made based on feedback of insertion load encountered by the extender during insertion. Iterative samples are taken to constantly adjust the operation of one motor based on the operations and feedback from the other motor.
