  • Publication number: 20230038611
Abstract: Localized stresses can be modulated in a film deposited on a bowed semiconductor substrate by selectively and locally curing the film by ultraviolet (UV) radiation. A bowed semiconductor substrate can be asymmetrically bowed. A UV-curable film is deposited on the front side or the backside of the bowed semiconductor substrate. A mask is provided between the UV-curable film and a UV source, where openings in the mask are patterned to selectively define exposed regions and non-exposed regions of the UV-curable film. Exposed regions of the UV-curable film modulate localized stresses to mitigate bowing in the bowed semiconductor substrate.

  • Publication number: 20230039714
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for detecting physical contacts effectuated by actions performed by an entity participating in an event. An action, performed by the entity, is detected based on a sequence of pose data associated with the entity's performance in the event. A contact with another entity in the event is detected based on data associated with the detected action. The action and the contact detections are employed by neural-network based detectors.

  • Publication number: 20230038688
Abstract: A pulverized solid fuel nozzle tip assembly for use with a pulverized solid fuel pipe nozzle to issue a stream of pulverized solid fuel and air to a pulverized solid fuel-fired boiler is described. The pulverized solid fuel nozzle tip assembly has an outer nozzle tip portion adapted to mount in supported relation with the pulverized solid fuel pipe nozzle, and a monolithic, ceramic, inner nozzle tip portion adapted for mounting within the outer nozzle tip portion to have secure tiltable movement. The outer nozzle has supporting surfaces that support surfaces of the inner nozzle tip portion to minimize the tilting forces transmitted to the inner nozzle tip portion during normal furnace operation, enhancing the wear resistance of the pulverized solid fuel nozzle tip assembly. The outer nozzle has an air shroud with multiple air passages to direct secondary air over an outer surface of the inner nozzle tip portion.

Abstract: A UV C light source including a UV C bulb adapted to emit and project UV C light at a wavelength and an interchangeable UV C light modifier through which at least a portion of the UV C light emitted from said UV C bulb is projected. The UV C light modifier may be reflective, such as a reflector, perforated, holographic material, or mechanical modifier such as a barn door. The UV C light modifier might produce a narrow pattern, circular pattern, flat pattern, or asymmetrical pattern or other desired geometric pattern, or upper air pattern. The UV C light modifier is easily removed and interchanged or may be selectable such as by receiving a base UV C fixture including the UV C light source of the present invention and selecting a desired light modifier.

  • Patent number: 11575351
Abstract: An improved architecture for a radio frequency (RF) power amplifier, impedance matching network, and selector switch. One aspect of embodiments of the invention is splitting the functionality of a final stage impedance matching network (IMN) into two parts, comprising a base set of off-chip IMN components and an on-chip IMN tuning component. The on-chip IMN tuning component may be a digitally tunable capacitor (DTC). In one embodiment, an integrated circuit having a power amplifier, an on-chip IMN tuner, and a selector switch is configured to be coupled to an off-chip set of IMN components. In another embodiment, an integrated circuit having an on-chip IMN tuner and a selector switch is configured to be coupled through an off-chip set of IMN components to a separate integrated circuit having an RF power amplifier.

  • Patent number: 11573776
Abstract: Data transformation in a distributed system of applications and data repositories is described. The subsystems for the overall framework are distributed, thereby allowing for customization to require only isolated changes to one or more subsystems. In one embodiment, a source code repository is used to receive and store source code. A build subsystem can retrieve source code from the source code repository and build it, using one or more criteria. By building the source code, the build subsystem can generate an artifact, which is executable code, such as a JAR or SQL file. Likewise, by building the source code, the build subsystem can generate one or more job specifications for executing the executable code. In one embodiment, the artifact and job specification may be used to launch an application server in a cluster. The application server can then receive data transformation instructions and execute the data transformation instructions.

  • Patent number: 11573939
Abstract: A method and apparatus for selecting database items from a database, where the database items are indexed by a list of item identifiers. The item identifiers may be in the form of text. An initial display is generated which includes one or more parts of the item identifiers. Selection of the one or more parts may be made and results in the generation of a display of a further one or more parts for selection. The further one or more parts may be selected in order to add to the selected one or more parts to build a larger part or whole of an item identifier. Selection from a large list of item identifiers may be carried out in a relatively short time period.

  • Patent number: 11573855
Abstract: Techniques are provided for remote object store error handling. A storage system may store data within one or more tiers of storage, such as a local storage tier (e.g., solid state storage and disks maintained by the storage system), a remote object store (e.g., storage provided by a third party storage provider), and/or other storage tiers. Because the remote object store may not provide the same data consistency and guarantees that the storage system provides for clients such as through the local storage tier, additional validation is provided by the storage system for the remote object store. For example, when data is put into an object of the remote object store, a verification get operation is performed to read and validate information within a header of the object. Other verifications and checks are performed such as using a locally stored metafile to detect corrupt or lost metadata and/or objects.

  • Patent number: 11575430
Abstract: A communication system transmits data signals between communication nodes. A first data signal is transmitted as an electromagnetic wave along a first data transmission path to a receiver using skywave propagation. A second data signal, identical to the first data signal, is transmitted to the receiver along a second data transmission path. The two data signals are compared at the receiver to determine any distortion caused by the skywave propagation. Data regarding the distortion is sent back to the transmitter so that subsequent transmitted data signals may be preconditioned when sent by skywave propagation.

  • Patent number: 11573580
Abstract: A manifold can determine a turnover scheme including a target turnover schedule of target turnover levels, based on an operation schedule and efficiency setting for a fluid distribution. Each target turnover level can correspond to a volume of fluid to be cycled through the fluid distribution system over a period of time. The manifold can operate respective valves and a supply device based on a target turnover level and determine a current turnover level from a flowrate detected by a flow sensor for at least one of the valves. The manifold can receive a current usage of the fluid distribution system and determine a required turnover level. An override status for the turnover scheme can be based on the efficiency setting and a comparison of the current, target, and the required turnover levels, and the manifold can operate respective valves and the supply device based on the override status.
