  • Patent number: 11938979
Abstract: An assembly may be provided that includes a controller configured to be coupled with at least one blower drive that operates a blower motor to cool resistive elements that dissipate electrical power as heat. The controller may be configured to determine whether the electrical power is no longer received by the resistive elements and operate the at least one blower drive to operate the blower motor to cool the resistive elements responsive to the electrical power no longer being received by the resistive elements.

  • Publication number: 20240009568
Abstract: In response to receiving user input command for sending a contextually aware communication, a computer system is configured to use game state data to determine a target location that a player is focusing on in a virtual environment in a video game, identify a unit that the player likely wants to communicate about based on at least priorities of unit types and proximities of units to the target location, and select a communication action for performance. Different communication actions can be performed in response to the same user input command when the game state data indicates different game states.

  • Patent number: 11821771
Abstract: A method of thermodynamic assessment of flow through a turbomachine having a compressor, comprising: receiving sensor readings from a plurality of acoustic sensors located about an intake for the turbomachine upstream of the compressor; and receiving pressure and stagnation temperature readings for the flow into the intake. A static temperature is determined for the flow into the intake and an average velocity of the flow over a flow area of the intake upstream of the compressor using the acoustic sensor readings. A mass flow rate of the flow through the intake is determined using the average velocity of the flow and the stagnation pressure.

  • Publication number: 20230235484
Abstract: A fiber blend containing: (a) a cellulose acetate (CA) staple fibers having a denier per filament (DPF) of 3.0 or less; and (b) structural staple fibers having a dpf of 6.0 or more; and (c) optionally binder fibers. The fiber blend can be made into nonwoven webs for heat-bonding and subsequent use as thermal insulation in, e.g., outerwear, bedding, etc. The fiber blend can now contain sustainably derived fibers, optionally biodegradable, that provide good thermal insulation clo values and loft even after multiple wash cycles along with good short term compression recovery.

  • Publication number: 20230013891
Abstract: An aircraft includes a gas turbine engine and an optically-based measurement system. The gas turbine engine is configured to ingest a first mass flow and to exhaust a second mass flow. The optically-based measurement system is configured to determine the first and second mass flows in response to performing an imaging process on the gas turbine engine.

  • Patent number: 11486473
Abstract: A stack of disk springs are placed between a second piston of a dual hydraulic variable force tensioner system and a hydraulic tensioner arm to allow much higher spring rates if desired. The springs may be stacked in multiple configurations to provide different spring rates. Package space can be reduced depending on the number of springs and orientations of said springs within the tensioner arm.

  • Patent number: 11448293
Abstract: A variable force tensioner (VFT) system that includes a primary piston split into two chambers disposed within a primary bore. The two chambers including a first low pressure chamber having a primary reservoir therein that feeds fluid through a check valve into a second high pressure chamber to control a biasing force on the primary piston. A piston bore clearance path can extend along a groove in the primary bore to feed oil back to the primary reservoir from the high pressure chamber.
