  • Patent number: 11107491
Abstract: A system and method including receiving, from a plurality of sensors, a sequence of data indicative of a presence of a person in an area of interest within a field of view of the plurality of sensors; determining an estimate of background level information for the area of interest in an instance of an absence of a person in the area of interest; generating a probability of a person being located in the area of interest based on a combination of the determined background level information and the sequence of data indicative of a presence of a person in the area of interest; determining a number of centroids in the area of interest based on an execution of clustering executed to determine an optimized total number of centroids for a dataset; and generating a count of persons in the area of interest based on determined total number of centroids.

  • Patent number: 7614166
Abstract: In one embodiment, footwear is provided that includes a sole having a light source disposed therein. A foot sensor, disposed in the sole, detects the presence or absence of a foot in the footwear. A light sensor is adapted to detect the amount of ambient light adjacent the footwear. The footwear may also include an energy storage element for powering the light source and maintaining the light source in the ON state for a period of time after the foot is removed. A selector may be provided for selecting a mode of operation, such as OFF, Auto ON and ON. In another embodiment, footwear is provided that includes a tag that is removably coupled to the footwear by a hook and loop fastener.

  • Patent number: 6699090
Abstract: A stuffed, soft body scent-emitting character (10) formed from a fabric material (12) and filled with a stuffing material to provide volumetric definition of the character with a chamber that receives scent-emittive materials sensible exterior thereof and defining a scent indicia. At least one visual indicia correlated with the scent emittive material attaches to the fabric material and is selected from a group comprising a name indicia and a coloring indicia. The character, receiving the scent emittive material in the chamber, provides a soft toy that emits the scent correlated with the visual indicia.
