Abstract: A diagnostic vibration analyzing system and method for measuring and characterizing both linear and torsional vibrations in a vehicle or a piece of industrial equipment (collectively a “vehicle”). An electronic control unit and a plurality of sensors cooperate to measure accelerations sensed by a vehicle operator. These measured accelerations, when combined with sensed rotational velocities, can be used to pinpoint likely sources of driveline vibrations. Once the sources of driveline vibrations are identified, they are graphically displayed to a user for remedial action.
