    Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for pre-filter deduplication for multidimensional two-sided interval joins. In an embodiment, a data platform receives query instructions for a two-sided N dimensional interval join, where N is an integer greater than 1. The two-sided N dimensional interval join has an interval-join predicate that compares intervals determined from the input relations in each of N dimensions. The data platform implements the two-sided N dimensional interval join as a query-plan section that includes an N dimensional band join that is followed by a deduplication operator that is followed by a filter that applies the interval-join predicate. The N dimensional band join includes a hash join keyed to N dimensional domain cells overlapped at least in part by intervals determined from the input relations in each of the N dimensions. The deduplication operator removes duplicate rows from a potential-duplicates subset of the output of the N dimensional band join.

    Abstract: In an embodiment, a data platform receives a query that includes a two-sided N dimensional interval join of first and second input relations. The data platform samples, with respect to each of one or more of the N dimensions, one or both of the first input relation and the second input relation with respect to an interval size of an interval determined from the input relation. The data platform demarcates the N dimensional input domain into non-overlapping N dimensional input-domain cells based on the sampling. The data platform implements the interval join using a query-execution plan that includes an equality join that is keyed on input-domain-cell identifiers of input-domain cells that at least partially overlap bounding polygons of the intervals determined from the first and second input relations. The equality join is followed in the query-execution plan by a filter that applies the interval join predicate. The data platform obtains results of the query by executing the query-execution plan.

    Abstract: A CVD preparation method for minimizing camera module dot defects includes: performing ultrasonic cleaning and drying on a base substrate to obtain a pre-treated base substrate; placing the pre-treated base substrate into a reaction chamber, evacuating, and introducing nitrogen or inert gas to slightly positive pressure; simultaneously introducing precursor I and precursor II at a temperature of 500-700° C. to deposit a low-refractive-index L layer on the base substrate; halting introduction of the precursor I and the precursor II, and purging the reaction chamber with nitrogen or the inert gas; introducing raw gas precursor III and precursor IV at a temperature of 600-800° C. to deposit a high-refractive-index H layer on the low-refractive-index L layer; and halting introduction of the precursor III and precursor IV, and purging the reaction chamber with nitrogen or inert gas; and cooling to room temperature to obtain an optical element with coating films having different refractive indices.

    Abstract: In an embodiment, a data platform implements a two-sided N dimensional interval join using an N dimensional band join followed by a filter that applies a predicate of the interval join. The data platform generates first and second modified relations from first and second input relations. Each modified relation includes a copy of each row from the corresponding input relation for each input-domain cell that overlaps, in each of N dimensions, a bounding polygon of intervals determined from the row of the corresponding input relation. The data platform inserts, in each row in each modified relation, an input-domain-cell identifier of the corresponding overlapping input-domain cell and uses a hash-equality join that receives the first and second modified relations and that is keyed on the input-domain-cell identifiers. The data platform obtains results of a query by executing a query-execution plan that includes the query-plan section.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a filtration system for a cell culture apparatus and a method of cell culture. The filtration system comprises a bioreactor vessel and two or more alternating tangential flow (ATF) filters connected in parallel. A failure in either filter is detected by an in-line sensor, and an automated response system functions to sequester the malfunctioning filter by stopping the flow of liquid media through the filter. Media flow through the remaining operable filters can be increased so that the rate of perfusion through the bioreactor remains relatively unchanged. Such a system may prevent issues that arise from ATF filter failures in conventional perfusion bioreactors, thereby improving the long-term viability of cell cultures.

    Abstract: Transient voltage noise, including resistive and reactive noise, causes timing errors at runtime. A heuristic framework, Walking Pads, is introduced to minimize transient voltage violations by optimizing power supply pad placement. It is shown that the steady-state optimal design point differs from the transient optimum, and further noise reduction can be achieved with transient optimization. The methodology significantly reduces voltage violations by balancing the average transient voltage noise of the four branches at each pad site. When pad placement is optimized using a representative stressmark, voltage violations are reduced 46-80% across 11 Parsec benchmarks with respect to the results from IR-drop-optimized pad placement. It is shown that the allocation of on-chip decoupling capacitance significantly influences the optimal locations of pads.

    Abstract: A computer vision processor of a camera extracts attributes of persons or vehicles from hyperzooms generated from image frames. The hyperzooms represent traffic patterns. The extracting is performed using a feature extractor of an on-camera convolutional neural network (CNN) including an inverted residual structure. The attributes include at least colors of clothing of the persons or colors of the vehicles. Mobile semantic segmentation models of the CNN are generated using the hyperzooms and the attributes. Attribute analytics are generated by executing the mobile semantic segmentation models while obviating network usage by the camera. The attribute analytics are stored in a key-value database located on a memory card of the camera. A query is received from the server instance specifying one or more of the attributes. The attribute analytics are filtered using the one or more of the attributes to obtain a portion of the traffic patterns.
