  • Publication number: 20240206398
Abstract: A work vehicle and a method for operating a work vehicle are disclosed. The work vehicle comprises a work vehicle chassis, a lifting assembly, a bale handling implement, a sensor arrangement being positioned and configured to optically detect the bale on the ground and a position and/or a space orientation of the bale and a driver assistance system comprising a controller. The sensor arrangement is configured to optically identify a target location on the bale used for picking up the bale with the bale handling implement, the lifting assembly being controlled by the controller based on the target location while the work vehicle is approaching the bale such that the bale handling implement is positioned at the target location on the bale when picking up the bale from the ground.

  • Publication number: 20240196796
Abstract: A self-propelled forage harvester is disclosed. The self-propelled harvester includes a mounting device having a feeder for harvested material and an adapter unit that is detachably arranged on the mounting device. The adapter unit is configured to mount and adapt an attachment designed for a combine harvester, with the adapter unit comprising a control and regulating module that is configured to perform control and regulating functions specific to the combine harvester for setting operating parameters of the mounted attachment.

  • Publication number: 20240172591
Abstract: A self-propelled harvester is disclosed. The self-propelled harvester includes a mounting device, which has a feed means for harvested material, for mounting an attachment on the harvester. An adapter unit may be detachably arranged between the mounting device and the attachment, such that the adapter unit is designed to couple the attachment to the mounting device. Further, the adapter unit may be configured to adjust an inclination of the attachment with respect to the mounting device in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 9706697
Abstract: An agricultural system includes a baler for picking up and compressing crop from a crop swath in a field and a tow tractor. The baler is towed by the tow tractor via a draft hitch arrangement, which draft hitch arrangement allows a baler pickup track to be laterally offset from the tractor driving track with respect to the tractor driving direction. During baling, the baler pickup track is aligned to the crop swath for picking up crop and the tractor driving track is laterally spaced from the crop swath with respect to the tractor driving direction. A steering system autonomously aligns the baler pickup track onto the crop swath.

  • Publication number: 20050036818
Abstract: A label media for use in a label media printer forms dynamically sized label markers. The label media includes a continuous tube affixed to length of a carrier web. Indicia is printed on the tube which is then cut to a desired length that accommodates the indicia printed thereon to dynamically form the wire marker.

  • Publication number: 20050036816
Abstract: A printer cartridge suitable for use in a cartridge-based printer houses and dispenses a roll of label media. The cartridge includes a housing having a top wall and a bottom wall. A yoke pivotally mounted between the top and bottom walls for pivotable movement about a pivot axis includes a label media supply shaft for holding a roll of label media. The label media supply shaft has a longitudinal axis spaced from, and parallel, to the pivot axis. A label media drive roller is rotatably mounted between the top and bottom walls, and a biasing means biases the yoke toward the label media drive roller to maintain the roll of label media in contact with the label media drive roller and defines a beginning of a media path. In one embodiment, the yoke is adjustable to accommodate different label media widths.

  • Publication number: 20050036817
Abstract: A printer has a sensor for detecting notches spaced along a label media fed through the printer at a reference distance, where the reference distance is selected as a multiple of a number of steps. As the label media is fed through the printer, the printer monitors the command to and/or feedback from a motor to determine an expected feed length, monitors the notches to determine an actual feed length, and compares the actual feed length to the expected feed length to determine a difference. The printer then adjusts the command to the motor to account for the difference, and therefore to minimize the difference between the actual feed length of the label media and the desired feed length of the label media.
