  • Publication number: 20250042007
Abstract: A torque wrench may include a head having a driving member configured to be operably coupled to a socket, a handle, a lever arm operably coupled to the head and the handle at respective opposing ends thereof, a torque adjuster configured to enable a torque setting of the torque wrench to be adjusted and an adjustment channel which may be disposed between the handle and the torque adjuster. A locking member may be disposed within the adjustment channel to block the torque adjuster from changing the torque setting.

  • Patent number: 10140480
Abstract: A counter to monitor an amount of tool use that includes a fluid passage (23) with an inlet (21) and an outlet (22). A piston (30) and sensor target (50) (e.g., magnet) are positioned along the passage and are biased towards a first position by a biasing member (40). When the tool is not in operation, the piston and sensor target are located at a first position due to the biasing force. When the tool is in operation, fluid moves along the fluid passage. A force applied by the moving fluid on the piston and sensor target overcomes the force applied by the biasing member and moves the piston and sensor target along the fluid passage to a second position. A sensor is configured to sense the sensor target at the second position. A processing circuit (62) determines the tool usage based on the detection of the sensor target at the second position by the sensor.

  • Publication number: 20100111626
Abstract: A cushion mechanism in a positive feed drill slows the advancement of a cutter prior to reconnecting with a machining surface during a clearing operation. The cushion mechanism may be inserted in a piston, in front of a shaft, or attached to the outside of the positive feed drill. The cushion mechanism may include a spring washer, a compression spring, or a hydraulic or pneumatic damper. The cushion mechanism provides a safer and more efficient operation for positive peck drilling.
