    Abstract: A method for classifying a weight of a vehicle includes determining a system enablement state of the vehicle load detection and classification system, monitoring a vehicle weight, determining a change in the vehicle weight, comparing the change in the vehicle weight to a first predefined weight change threshold, and categorizing the change in the vehicle weight in response to determining that the change in the vehicle weight exceeds the first predefined weight change threshold. The method also includes determining if a weight has been left in the vehicle after key-off and determining if a weight has been placed in a cargo compartment of the vehicle which exceeds the weight rating of the cargo compartment. The method also includes optimizing a route to a destination based at least on the change in the vehicle weight and displaying the optimized route to the destination using a human machine interface of the vehicle.

    Abstract: An apparatus having a flat foldable trifold structure is disclosed for holding printed materials, including mailable literature. In some implementations, the apparatus includes a foldable body having a first and second portion. The first portion is folded along a lateral axis of the foldable body. The first portion has a rectangular region defined by four points and four boundaries, where three of the boundaries define incisions in the first portion such that the remaining boundary is permitted to be folded relative to a remaining area of the first portion to define a second fold extending along the lateral axis. The second portion includes a base region and a protruding region which is folded relative to the base region to define a third fold extending along the lateral axis. When the first boundary is folded relative to the remaining area of the first portion, the third fold receives an end defined by the remaining boundary.

    Abstract: A handheld novelty device that utilizes a bag structure having a first flexible plastic sheet and a second flexible plastic sheet. At least part of the bag structure is transparent so that the contents of the bag structure can be viewed. The first flexible plastic sheet is molded or bonded to the second flexible plastic sheet in selected areas. This defines a plurality of interconnected chambers in the bag structure. The interconnected chambers include a first chamber, a second chamber and a meandering pathway that interconnects the first chamber to the second chamber. Flow material is provided that at least partially fills the plurality of interconnected chambers. The flow material can be a liquid with floating solids, or a slurry of solids and liquids. The flow material is displaced within the plurality of interconnected chambers when at least one of the plurality of interconnected chambers is compressed.

One method includes receiving, by a neural network of a speech recognition system, first data representing a first raw audio signal and second data representing a second raw audio signal. The first raw audio signal and the second raw audio signal describe audio occurring at a same period of time. The method further includes generating, by a spatial filtering layer of the neural network, a spatial filtered output using the first data and the second data, and generating, by a spectral filtering layer of the neural network, a spectral filtered output using the spatial filtered output. Generating the spectral filtered output comprises processing frequency-domain data representing the spatial filtered output. The method still further includes processing, by one or more additional layers of the neural network, the spectral filtered output to predict sub-word units encoded in both the first raw audio signal and the second raw audio signal.

    Abstract: A power system for an electrical system with highly fluctuating loads is powered by one or more power sources that are slow to react to load changes. The power sources are connected to electrical equipment used on the drill rig which provide active load to the generate. One or more load banks may be positioned to provide passive load to the generators to maintain generally constant generator load, while allowing for instant access to power as active load increases. Generators may be run at 100% capacity, a maximum efficient capacity, or at a high enough level to allow for a sufficiently rapid increase in power output. At least one parameter of a drilling operation may be utilized to anticipate load demand changes.

In an aspect, a mechanism is provided wherein a first VFS interface unit coupling the VFS to a local data storage system is replaced with a second VFS interface unit in a coordinated procedure for taking the first unit offline, making a reliable snapshot of its data and cache structure in the VFS, and loading the same data and cache structure into the second VFS interface brought online. The first and second VFS interfaces transfer the necessary data to achieve the switch through respective side-loading daemons running in each interface. Clients in the local data storage system experience minimal interruption of services in the VFS.

The frame sections are molded from a first plastic. The ball structures for the joints are molded as part of the frame structures. Additionally, breakaway necks are molded into the frame structures immediately adjacent the ball structures. Body features are over-molded onto frame structures. The body features are molded from a second plastic. The socket structures of the joints are molded as part of the body features. When a body part is first manipulated, the narrowed breakaway neck within the internal frame structure breaks. This frees the ball structure on the frame structures to move within the socket structure of the body feature. This produces a functional ball and socket joint that enables the body parts to be selectively posed.
