  • Patent number: 12595781
Abstract: A blade for a vertical axis wind turbine is disclosed. The blade comprises a unified skin having variable thickness, including a first skin section with greater thickness than a second skin section. The blade further includes a plurality of internal beam walls that connect a blade outside portion and a blade inside portion, with at least one beam wall positioned at a predefined distance, between 58% and 90% of the chord length, from the leading edge to enhance structural integrity. The blade additionally includes a bracketed structural member that is integrated into the thick skin section and configured to hold a nut bar, enabling secure, reinforcement-free attachment to a turbine arm. The design improves manufacturability, reduces weight, and enhances fatigue resistance under turbulent wind conditions.

  • Patent number: 12566278
Abstract: Techniques to allow for increases in the accuracy of the determination of properties of a formation (e.g., a formation's fluid content, porosity, density, etc.) or seismic velocity, shear wave information, etc. are disclosed herein. The techniques include generating initial input data comprising based at least in part on initial seismic data, modeling the initial input data to generate synthetic seismic data based on different combinations of the initial input data, iteratively updating a value of each particle of a set of particles utilizing the synthetic seismic data to generate a final set of particles and outputting the final set of particles as a target distribution.

  • Publication number: 20240111072
Abstract: Techniques and systems to provide increases in accuracy of property determination of a formation. The techniques include receiving initial well log data, generating augmented well log data including the initial well log data and modeled well log data based on the initial well log data, modifying the augmented well log data to generate a training dataset, training a probabilistic classifier utilizing the training dataset, calculating a probability volume for each lithofluid class of a set of predetermined lithofluid classes utilizing the probabilistic classifier, outputting the probability volume for each lithofluid class of the set of predetermined lithofluid classes as a respective probability of an occurrence of a type of lithofluid class in a reservoir, calculating a posterior probability based on the probability volume for a first lithofluid class of the set of predetermined lithofluid classes, and outputting the posterior probability as a probability of a property of the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20230336845
Abstract: A method for generating and storing secondary content implemented by a content server having a data storage, the method comprising the steps of: storing, in the data storage, one or more pieces of primary content received by the content server, wherein received pieces of primary content are processed to identify a set of one or more feature instances, each feature instance associated with a predefined feature and defining a position within the respective piece of primary content at which said associated feature is present; receiving, from a first client device in data communication with the content server, a search request, the search request specifying one or more search features; determining one or more pieces of primary content for searching in relation to the search request; identifying one or more feature instances in the searched primary content having an associated feature instance corresponding to one or more search features; communicating an instruction to the first client device to display on a user

  • Patent number: 8459646
Abstract: A table game has a plurality of pucks for sliding across a table top that is divided into an elongated runner section and a scoring section. Both the runner section and the scoring section have multiple bumpers for affecting the path of the pucks, and the scoring section has multiple scoring indicators representing different scores. Each player has a predetermined number of throws and once a set score is reached, a winner is crowned.

  • Publication number: 20120296798
Abstract: A flexible-rate option and method of electronic trading are provided. The flexible-rate option includes a negotiable premium and a corresponding rate-based strike rate. At least one discount curve, and potentially also a forward curve are determined An adjustment factor for the financial instrument is determined. The curve or curves are used to determine the adjustment factor to determine the adjusted exercise price of an underlying with a standardized coupon as the present value difference between the delivered financial instrument with a fixed rate and a swap with the strike rate, at or near the time of option exercise. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
