Publication number: 20240144191Abstract: An online concierge system receives a goal and availability information for a picker, in which the availability information describes time slot-location pairs for which the picker is available. The system accesses and applies a first and a second machine learning model to predict a likelihood that an order will be available for service and an amount of earnings for servicing the order, respectively, for each time slot-location pair. The system computes an estimated amount of earnings for each time slot-location pair based on the predictions and generates suggested schedules that each includes one or more time slot-location pairs. For each suggested schedule, the system computes a total estimated amount of earnings based on the estimated amount of earnings and one or more costs. The system identifies a suggested schedule for achieving the goal based on the total estimated amount of earnings or an estimated amount of time included in the suggested schedule.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2022Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Ganesh Krishnan, Xiaofan Xu, Kevin Ryan

Patent number: 11933087Abstract: A storage console includes a housing with a storage chamber, two closure members connected to the housing, an actuator movably arranged in the housing and a latch mechanism rotatably connected to the housing. The two closure members can be rotated to open or close the storage chamber. The latch mechanism includes two latch members and a synchronizer connected between the two latch members. The movement of the actuator actuates the two latch members to rotate to a lock position in which the two latch members engage with the two closure members or a release position in which the two latch members are separated from the two closure members. The two closure members of the storage console can be opened synchronously by use of the actuator and closed independently of each other.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Mona Li, Wei Xu, Leo Chen, Kevin Shen

Publication number: 20240079784Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with an antenna having a resonating element and a light source module mounted to a flexible printed circuit and a metal cowling. The module may emit light through a rear housing wall. The printed circuit may be interposed between the metal cowling and a conductive support plate in the rear housing wall. The printed circuit may include a ground trace coupled to the resonating element. A dimpled pad may couple the ground trace to the support plate. Compressive foam may be used to exert a force against the flexible printed circuit that presses the dimpled pad against the conductive support plate. The ground trace and the dimpled pad may form a return path to ground for the resonating element. The dimpled pad may occupy less height within the device than other structures such as metal springs.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Han Wang, Victor C. Publication number: 20240056485Abstract: A system described herein may maintain one or more smart contracts on a distributed ledger. The system may receive a request, associated with a User Equipment (“UE”), for access to a particular network (e.g., a private network), identify one or more attributes of the UE, and select a particular smart contract based on the attributes of the UE. The system may execute the selected particular smart contract, which may include performing operations, indicated by the particular smart contract, using the one or more attributes of the UE as inputs. Executing the particular smart contract may further include identifying outputs that result from performing the particular set of operations using the attributes of the UE as inputs, such as a network access policy for the UE. Patent number: 11395211Abstract: A system described herein may provide techniques for a geographically-based traffic handling policy. An originating device may mark traffic with geographic restriction information, such as in a header of network traffic, indicating a geographic restriction on the propagation of the traffic. The geographic restriction may indicate a geographic region in which the traffic may be forwarded, or a geographic region in which the traffic is prohibited from being forwarded. Network devices in a path between the originating device and a destination device may determine whether to drop the traffic or perform other policy-related actions based on whether such devices are inside the geographic region in which the traffic may be forwarded. In some implementations a destination device may register as an exception to such policies, based on which an originating device or a router may bypass geographically-based traffic handling policies with respect to marked traffic directed to the destination device.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2020Date of Patent: July 19, 2022Assignee: Verizon Patent and Licensing Inc.Inventors: Charles P. Szrom, Kevin Xu, Rashmitha Sirsi, Valerie Feldmann, Robert Belson
