Abstract: A method may include acquiring real-time data during rig operations that include rig operations for drilling a borehole in a subsurface geologic region using a drillstring that includes a drill bit, where the drillstring includes stands of drill pipe; based on stand statistics, using at least a portion of the real-time data, calibrating a torque and drag model that models torque and drag of the drillstring in the borehole; based on operation statistics, calling for use of the torque and drag model to make a prediction; and, based at least in part on the prediction, detecting an anomaly.
