    Abstract: A third party gateway for validating egress traffic in a computer network system is provided. The third party gateway includes a proxy and a gateway agent. The proxy includes a termination proxy and a forward proxy. The proxy is configured to terminate Transport Layer Security communication for the egress traffic. The proxy is further configured to forward the egress traffic to the gateway agent. The gateway agent is configured to validate the egress traffic as valid traffic or invalid traffic based on predetermined validation requirements. The proxy is further configured to receive the valid traffic or the invalid traffic from the gateway agent, and to forward the valid traffic to a destination service or to block the invalid traffic.

    Abstract: A method is provided for enhancing WLAN security performed by a wireless terminal, comprising steps of: reading the key stored in the ID card; requesting the wireless access point for authenticating identification according to the read key and the corresponding encryption algorithm; accessing the WLAN if the authentication succeeds. Said encryption algorithm can adopt algorithms in the network protocols, as well as customized encryption/decryption algorithms. With this method, the mandatory authentication can be performed for the wireless terminal to access WLAN, so as to avoid network insecurity caused by the entry of unauthorized wireless terminals into the network.

    Abstract: A method for power control in WLAN, performed by a wireless equipment, comprises steps of: receiving signals from another wireless equipment in the WLAN; detecting the strength of the received signals; inserting the detecting result of the signal strength as the power control information into the signals to be transmitted to said another wireless equipment. With this power control method, a wireless equipment can automatically calculates and adjusts its transmit power according to the RSSI (received signal strength indication) inserted in the signals.
