Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for realizing signalling agent based on a media gateway control protocol, which comprises the following steps of: providing an agent equipment between media gateways and a media gateway controller that locate in different networks, the agent equipment providing signalling agent and network address translation between different networks; requesting for registering to the media gateway controller from a media gateway; for a MGCP/MEGACO signalling that is not related to media between the media gateway controller and the media gateway, directly replacing a transaction number by the agent equipment and then forwarding; for a MGCP/MEGACO signalling that is related to media, processing a media identifier correspondingly by the agent equipment and then forwarding.

Abstract: A method for realizing signaling agent in a network system, the network system comprises media gateways and a media gateway controller in different networks, and at least one agent equipment on a boundary of different networks; each media gateway under the same media gateway controller has a unique message identifier of MEGACO signaling, the media gateway controller distinguishes different media gateways on the basis of the message identifier; the message identifier of the media gateway includes information of the media gateway; the message identifier of the media gateway controller includes information of the media gateway controller and the media gateway, the agent equipment utilizes the message identifier to realize signaling traversing between the media gateway and the media gateway controller.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of authentication for Media Gateway, comprising: setting up an initial key for validating initial digital signatures between a Media Gateway and a Media Gateway Controller; generating a new shared key having a specific lifetime by performing signaling communication between said Media Gateway and said Media Gateway Controller with said initial key; authenticating calls and responses between said Media Gateway and said Media Gateway Controller with said new shared key; and updating said shared key between said Media Gateway and said Media Gateway Controller if the lifetime of said shared key is expired. The invention can authenticate each call, update the shared key periodically, and prevent calling invalidly effectively.
