Patent number: 11179852Abstract: An actuator and end effector are controlled according to images from cameras having a surface in their field of view. Vessels (cups, bowls, etc.) and other objects are identified in the images and their configuration is assigned to a finite set of categories by a classifier that does not output a 3D bounding box or determine a 6D pose. For objects assigned to a first subset of categories, grasping parameters for controlling the actuator and end effector are determined using only 2D bounding boxes, such as oriented 2D bounding boxes. For objects not assigned to the first subset, a righting operation may be performed using only 2D bounding boxes. Objects that are still not in the first set may then be grasped by estimating a 3D bounding box and 6D pose.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2019Date of Patent: November 23, 2021Assignee: DISHCRAFT ROBOTICS, INC.Inventors: Kerkil Choi, Yen-Khai Lee, Paul Michael Birkmeyer

Publication number: 20180300175Abstract: A base cell of a gate array architecture includes an increased number of transistors that can be interconnected or not interconnected so as to realize similar advantages as a having a library of transistors of different sizes. In one embodiment, each column a base cell contains two PMOS transistors and two NMOS transistors connected so as to share a single polysilicon (“poly”) gate electrode. Such an arrangement of the transistors in metal only programmable base cell architecture provides three different P and N transistor widths per poly gate and may provide nine different combinations transistor widths for P and N for design. The number of gate electrodes is minimized and their arrangement simplified such that the size of the base cell may be same size compared to traditional gate array base cell with four transistors. Moreover, only a single type of base cell need be provided, simplifying layout and design.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2014Publication date: October 18, 2018Inventors: Jonathan Park, Yin Hoa Liew, Wei Zhi Kang, Yan Khai Lee, Wan Tat, Toong Erh Ooi, Soo Chuan Tan

Patent number: 9337240Abstract: A lead frame for an integrated circuit (IC) package is disclosed. The lead frame includes a center region and a plurality of lead fingers surrounding the center region. The plurality of lead fingers that surrounds the center region defines a periphery region around the center region. A portion of the plurality of lead fingers extends from the center region to hold the center region in place. Tie bars that are typically used to hold the center region in place may not be included in the lead frame.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2010Date of Patent: May 10, 2016Assignee: Altera CorporationInventors: Guan Khai Lee, Loon Kwang Tan, Ping Chet Tan, Pheak Ti Teh

Patent number: 9043868Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems that may be used to secure networked devices are provided. One method includes receiving, at a security device, encrypted configuration data from a management server connected to a data network, from packets addressed to a networked device. The method further includes managing, by the security device, packets between the networked device and other devices accessible through a network based upon the configuration data. The method further includes sending, by the security device, a plurality of encrypted heartbeat messages to the management server utilizing an address associated with the networked device as the originating address for packets in which the encrypted heartbeat messages are transmitted.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2013Date of Patent: May 26, 2015Assignee: BYRES SECURITYInventors: Eric Byres, Darren Lissimore, John Karsch, Khai Lee

Patent number: 8407758Abstract: A network security appliance that provides security to devices in industrial environments by transparently bridging traffic to the endpoint device. The security 5 appliance securely communicates with a management server for receiving configuration data for operation of security modules in the appliance by encrypted communications. The security appliance utilizes the network address of the industrial device when communicating with a management server and is addressed by the management server using the address of one of the protected devices associated with the appliance. Learned device characteristics are provided by the appliance to the management server which tailors software and security rules to specific network vulnerabilities of the device and control protocol. The security appliance sends periodic heartbeat messages to the management server using the network address of the device.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2011Date of Patent: March 26, 2013Assignee: Byres SecurityInventors: Eric Byres, Darren Lissimore, John Karsch, Khai Lee
