  • Patent number: 11958734
Abstract: The invention concerns a bottle opener (101) for removing a cap (301) from a bottle (300). It comprises an image sensor (206) for capturing an image of the cap (301), a fulcrum surface (103) for contacting the cap and a hook (102,104) engageable under a flange (304) of the cap (301) for removing it from the bottle in response of a relative rotation of said bottle opener (101) with respect to the bottle (300) using the fulcrum surface (103) as a fulcrum. A removal detector (202, 204) is arranged to trigger a capture of an image by sensing a force between the fulcrum surface (103) and the hook (104) that exceeds a predefined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220379493
Abstract: A magnetic sensing approach for determining a positioning characteristic of a soft robotic actuator. A magnetic field or a change in magnetic field of a magnetic member may be measured as it undergoes concurrent displacement with a soft actuator. Additionally, an example rolling robotic wheel is illustrated. The robotic wheel may utilize magnetic sensing as described herein.

  • Patent number: 9118442
Abstract: A UE receives HSDPA traffic comprising legacy HSDPA traffic and HS-SCCH-less HSDPA traffic. The UE concurrently processes the received legacy HSDPA traffic and the received HS-SCCH-less HSDPA traffic. The received HSDPA traffic is concurrently buffered into a first storage and a second storage to support simultaneously receiving legacy HSDPA traffic and HS-SCCH-less HSDPA traffic. A HARQ process is performed on the buffered HSDPA traffic in the first storage or the second storage according to a corresponding HS-SCCH CRC test. The resulting HARQ processed HSDPA traffic is Turbo decoded. Turbo decoding on the previously HARQ processed HSDPA traffic is performed simultaneously with HARQ processing on the buffered HSDPA traffic in the first storage or the second storage. The buffered HS-SCCH-less HSDPA traffic is processed via HARQ processing and Turbo decoding for each of the four pre-determined transport formats.

  • Publication number: 20090180456
Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for adaptive quantization steps for HS-SCCH decoding using average CQI are provided. A HS-SCCH in a received HSDPA signal may be adaptively quantized before HS-SCCH decoding occurs. Quantization information may be determined based on a CQI value associated with the HS-PDSCH. A preferred soft bit precision and quantization geometry, which associated with the quantization information, for the given soft bit precision may be determined based on the CQI value. The received HS-SCCH data may be truncated with the determined soft bit precision in the determined quantization geometry, accordingly. A look-up table, which may comprise the mappings between CQI and quantization step information, may be used for selecting quantization step sizes in HS-SCCH quantizing in order to, for example, lower the complexity in HS-SCCH quantizing.

  • Publication number: 20080267100
Abstract: A wireless device includes a case, user interface, an antenna, first processing resources, and second processing resources. The first processing resources couple to the antenna and to the second processing resources and receive and operate upon a data signal transmitted by a transmitting wireless device. In its processing operations, the first processing resources produces decoded data blocks and writes the decoded data blocks to a data buffer. When a processing resource threshold is met with regard to the plurality of decoded data blocks, the first processing resources issue a service processing interrupt to the second processing resources. In response to the service processing interrupt, the second processing resources retrieve the plurality of decoded data blocks from the data buffer in response to the service processing interrupt and process the plurality of decoded data blocks.
