  • Publication number: 20130091447
Abstract: Content control method and system for optimizing information on a display screen of a mobile device which preferentially arranges a primarily optimized layout among content to be displayed on a screen and outputs detailed content in a corresponding area on the screen in phases when there is a touch input (for expanding a specific area of the screen by a user. In particular, when a touch input of a first pattern input through a touch screen is recognized, content related to the touched area is expanded by a predetermined ratio and the expanded content is displayed on a screen. Simultaneously, detailed information of the content selected by the touch input of the first pattern is read from the memory and the read detailed information is output on the touch screen.

  • Patent number: 8199864
Abstract: A demodulator for demodulating a digital broadcast signal and a demodulation method thereof. A QPSK demodulator of a digital broadcast reception system includes an in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) detector. The I/Q detector generates a baseband I signal and a baseband Q signal by multiplying a modulated QPSK signal by an I/Q carrier signal. A bandwidth adjustable first filter receives the baseband I signal and the baseband Q signal generated by the I/Q detector and rejects imaginary noise included in the received signals. A data restoration unit restores original data before the signals output from the first filter are QPSK modulated.

  • Patent number: 7570717
Abstract: A method for demodulating a carrier wave in a channel environment in which a pilot signal may be distorted, in a digital TV receiver, which may receive a vestigial sideband (VSB) modulated and transmitted signal, and a demodulation apparatus therefor are provided. A field synchronization part of a VSB signal, in which a pilot signal may be removed, may be used as a reference signal for synchronization. The frequency offset of a carrier wave may be estimated through self-correlation of a signal, and the phase offset of the carrier wave may be estimated through a pilot-less frequency and phase locked loop (FPLL).

  • Patent number: 7548281
Abstract: An apparatus may include a sort circuit for receiving first and second baseband signals, where the sort circuit shifting frequencies of the first and second baseband signals. The apparatus may also include a removal circuit for receiving the shifted first and second baseband signals and for combining the shifted first and second baseband signals to provide a frequency-modulated signal, and a symbol timing restoration circuit for measuring a timing error in related symbols of the frequency-modulated signal, for generating an address selection signal that is proportional to the timing error, in response to a carrier restoration signal, and for indicating restoration of the carrier.

  • Publication number: 20080049823
Abstract: A method for processing at least one complex signal may include equalizing compensating for a phase error of an input complex signal. The input complex signal may include a first channel signal and a second channel signal, which is perpendicular to the first channel signal. A phase imbalance and an amplitude imbalance between a first channel signal and a second channel signal may be compensated to generate an imbalance compensated signal.

  • Publication number: 20050220241
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a frequency phase locked loop circuit, which may enable a frequency and/or phase of a sampled signal to be tracked within a short time. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention also provide a digital television demodulator, which may use the frequency phase locked loop circuit. Exemplary embodiments of the frequency phase locked loop circuit may include a mean power frequency discriminator, a mean calculator, a phase discriminator, a loop-filter, and an adder. The frequency phase locked loop circuit may obtain a carrier frequency through a path and may track a phase of the carrier frequency through another path.
