The first wall, the second wall and the connecting portion form a cavity, and the first wall has a recessed portion formed at a front end of the first wall. The recessed portion is recessed from an outer plane of the first wall. The cavity is to receive the tray therein. The tray has an edge portion, the edge portion being received in the recessed portion and forming a gap between the outer plane of the first wall and the edge portion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a carrier cup of a planet carrier that improves strength thereof and reduces noise occurring in an automatic transmission by changing an interior circumferential shape of a leg. The carrier cup of a planet carrier according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention at which pinion gears are mounted such that the pinion gears are rotatably supported thereby may include a carrier plate provided with a carrier hole for mounting a carrier shaft and a plurality of pinion holes for mounting the pinion gears, and a plurality of legs extending perpendicularly from one side surface of the carrier plate, wherein radial thickness of the leg is changed along a circumferential direction thereof.

Abstract: A clutch drum is constituted by a two-piece construction of an inner drum and outer drum. The inner drum is provided with a step at the corner from its disc part to its outer tube, and the vertical wall of the outer drum is butt welded to the step. The inner drum serves as the cylinder for a piston, enabling its inner circumferential surface up to its tip to be utilized as a piston sliding surface of sufficient length even though the outer tube is short. An extension of the piston having a part for applying pressure to the friction plates is offset towards the vertical wall of the outer drum after crossing the tip of the outer tube, thereby further shortening the length of the clutch as a whole in the axial direction while guaranteeing the stroke gap between itself and the clutch hub.
