  • Patent number: 6057533
Abstract: Disclosed is a control panel of a microwave oven comprising a panel body, a timing device, a time control knob, and a power control knob assembly. The power control knob assembly has a pinion assembled with the power control shaft, a rack engaged with the pinion, and a knob installed slidably along a guiding recess formed on the panel body so as to move the rack linearly. As the knob is slide along the guide recess of the panel body of tie panel, the rack moved by the knob rotates the pinion. Accordingly, the output control shaft is rotated, and thereby the output power degree of the microwave is set. As described, knob of the power control knob assembly for controlling the output power of the microwave is linearly moved. Accordingly, the user can easily distinguish the power control knob from the time control knob.

  • Patent number: 5941100
Abstract: A clothes washing machine has a pulsator and a spurting apparatus for spurting washing water upwardly from the center of the pulsator, so as to disperse laundry gathered thereabove. The spurting apparatus has at least one guide duct and a spurt cap. The guide duct is fixed to an underside of the pulsator so as to rotate together with the pulsator. The washing water is introduced into a radially outer end of the guide duct and guided toward the center of the pulsator. The spurt cap disposed at the center of the pulsator guides the washing water upwardly. A filter is disposed at an inlet of the duct for filtering-out impurities from washing water entering the duct.

  • Patent number: 5863423
Abstract: A filter for a washing machine is disclosed. The filter includes a waterfall discharging portion. The waterfall discharging portion has a penetrating hole formed at upper portion of a front panel of a pocket type filter and discharges the washing water introduced via a guide passage into the interior of a dehydrating tub. The waterfall discharging portion includes a first protrusion protruded from lower portion of the penetrating hole having a semi-spherical shape and a second protrusion extended from rear upper portion of the penetrating hole. Accordingly, a part of the washing water discharged from the pocket type filter is guided upwardly by the guide passage and discharged into the interior of the dehydrating tub to strike the laundry in the dehydrating tub after the flow speed of the washing water is increased by the first and second protrusions. The washing efficiency against the laundry is enhanced.
