  • Patent number: 8577121
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a forged seal imprint checking method which includes a step ST-101 of generating a reference seal imprint from a genuine seal (ST-110) and a step ST-121 of comparing a compared seal imprints with the reference seal imprint to calculate characteristic values of the compared seal imprint with respect to the reference seal imprint (ST-140). According to experimental results, forged seal imprints obtained by seals forged by etching a zinc plate or a resin plate can be recognized and forged seal imprints generated by seals forged through computer copy can be also recognized. Accordingly, an objective basis on which it can be determined whether seal imprints on documents are forged in civil and criminal cases can be provided to prevent errors which may be generated when seal imprints are inspected with the naked eyes or microscopes.

  • Publication number: 20110068013
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for preparing metal nanoparticles using alternating current (AC) electrolysis, in which the yield of metal nanoparticles obtained can be greatly improved by maintaining the concentrations of a reducing agent and a dispersing agent at constant levels in proportion to the intensity of an electric current during the production of the metal nanoparticles.

  • Patent number: 6993079
Abstract: A variable length coding method is provided. The method comprises comparing corresponding portions of a present picture and a previous picture received by a video encoder; and performing coding by fixing a COD (coded macroblock indication) flag of the present picture at a certain value, if said corresponding portions are similar to each other.

  • Publication number: 20040153937
Abstract: A method for processing video includes performing two error-detecting steps for a video bit stream. In the first step, the video bit stream is compared a code book. If no error is detected, the second step includes determining whether a discontinuity exists between adjacent macroblocks in the video bit stream. If a discontinuity is detected to exist, error compensation is performed prior to display of the video bit stream. A discontinuity between or among adjacent macroblocks is preferably detected by comparing one or more color values derived from the macroblocks. The color values may include a chrominance value and a luminance value. Difference values derived from the comparisons are measured against respective threshold values and the outcome determines whether a discontinuity exists. A system for processing video includes two detectors for respectively performing the error detecting steps and at least one compensation circuit for compensating the video bit stream for the detected errors.
