  • Publication number: 20150123951
Abstract: Some embodiments include a pointer device. The pointer device can include an energy source compartment for coupling to an energy source. The pointer device can also include a light emitting diode (LED) coupled to the energy source compartment and a timer circuit coupled to the LED. The time circuit can be capable of modulating a current driving the LED. The pointer device can include a chassis around the LED and the timer circuit. The point device can include a button coupled to the timer circuit exposed from the chassis. In some embodiments, when the button is pressed, the timer circuit modulates the LED.

  • Publication number: 20130342458
Abstract: A method of operating an user input device relative to a projection screen includes: displaying a user interface via a projector in the A/V device; receiving a captured image from a camera tracking a two-dimensional (2D) coordinate of a light source from images of the capture image; displaying a cursor over the user interface via the projector in the A/V device based on the 2D coordinate; detecting an optical pattern from the light source; and activating a click interaction on the user interface at the 2D coordinate based on the optical pattern received.

  • Publication number: 20130342704
Abstract: Disclosed is a portable low-power audio-visual (A/V) device including: a housing enclosing a computer board, a projector, a speaker, a power supply and optionally a webcam. The power supply may be one or more power converters connected to a DC battery. The A/V device may include a user interface enabling web browsing with functions including scroll, refresh, home, listing playable/viewable files, and generating a projection screen keyboard. Navigating on the screen can be achieved by a user input system that is calibrated to be used on a projected image, such as an infrared point source.
