Abstract: The present invention provides topical formulations containing a vitamin K analog, e.g., menadione, that deliver a uniform, therapeutically effective concentration of the vitamin K analog to the skin in a vehicle which is stable, non-irritating, non-drying and cosmetically acceptable. These topical formulations are useful for the treatment and prevention of dermatological conditions associated with inflammation, particularly, dermatological conditions resulting from anti-EGFR therapies.

Abstract: A client computer system, method and software tool for displaying portlet content are provided. The system comprises a user interface, a portlet server and a portlet view tool. The user interface allows the display of a page including one or more view window(s), each displaying content provided by a component of the computer system. The portlet server processes requests for portlet content, and has one or more portlet(s) installed thereon. The portlet view tool is associated with a portlet installed on the portlet server, and controls the associated portlet. A web browser is used to display content from the associated portlet in a view window on the display.

Abstract: A method, software tool and system for communicating data between components in a client computer system is provided. The client computer system has a user interface for displaying a page comprising content rendered by a plurality of components. A property broker is provided which maintains a registry of linked source and destination data fields of components of the client computer system. The property broker is notified when a user request is detected by a component registered with the property broker, and a set of components registered with the property broker is then notified of the start of a communication phase. The user request is processed by the actioned component and the value of each source data field updated during processing of the user request is communicated to each component having a linked destination data field. The property broker notifies the set of components when the communications phase has ended, and at least one component then renders content for display.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method and system for enabling a server application to be executed in the same Java Virtual Machine (VM) as a client application using direct Java method calls without the need for remote communications protocol processing of the method calls. This is achieved by providing an application program interface (API) that exposes objects comprising the server application program to the client application program, whereby a client application method call is reduced by the interface to a Plain Old Java Objects (POJO) method call.

An electronic mail message 3 is sent from a first server component 1 to a recipient 2 and received at the recipient's client mail application. The client mail application displays the message to the recipient enabling them to interact with the message 3. The electronic mail message 3 has content that enables communication with a second server component whilst the message is displayed to the recipient 2. Data is sent to the second server component in response to the recipient's interaction with the message. Once received by the second server component, the data is used by a third server component to effect a transaction.

Abstract: A communications headset has two earpieces mounted on a headband, one at each end. The earpieces are mounted on the headband by arcuate members or stirrups which provide for pivoting of the earpieces about an axis in the plane of the headband, or parallel thereto. A boom attachment member is rotatably mounted on the back of one of the earpieces and the boom is mounted on the attachment member for pivotal and swinging movement. A receiver can be in both earpieces or only in the earpiece carrying the boom. The boom carries an electret microphone and associated amplifier.

Abstract: A peripheral, radial surface extends outwardly and upwardly from the bottom surface of a circular tub which supports a walking dragline excavator or like machinery. The extension surface reduces bearing pressure on the tub in both stationary and walking positions, and facilitates sliding of the tub relative to underlying terrain as the equipment is moved. The extension surface is angularly disposed relative to the bottom tub surface so as to be substantially parallel to the terrain during walking movement of the dragline. Thus, the dragline load is distributed over a relatively large area, and the bulldozing effect of the tub's trailing edge is minimized.

Abstract: A simplified miter box suitable for use with a conventional carpenter's saw comprises upper and lower relatively rotatable platforms with a pair of radially spaced, upstanding saw guide posts fixed to the lower platform. Each post has a vertical, upwardly open saw guide slot extending therethrough. The slots are radially aligned with each other. The upper platform rotates about the first post and has an outer circular edge captured for sliding movement by a complementary groove in the second post. An upstanding workpiece support is fixed to the upper platform, and an angular scale alignable with a reference mark of the lower platform is inscribed on the upper platform outer edge.
