  • Publication number: 20260184278
Abstract: An electronic digital assistant of a computing device is automatically modified in an in-vehicle setting to prevent unauthorized users co-located in the vehicle from issuing sensitive voice commands to the electronic digital assistant. The computing device receives sensor data indicating an occupancy status of one or more seating zones in the vehicle and determines, based on the sensor data, that a particular seating zone in the vehicle is occupied. When the electronic digital assistant receives a voice command while the particular seating zone is occupied, the voice command is evaluated to determine whether it is a sensitive voice command. When the voice command is a sensitive command, the electronic digital assistant refrains from executing the command until an authorized user provides authorization by way of a physical user input. When the voice command is not a sensitive voice command, the electronic digital assistant executes the command without further authorization.

The computing device receives sensor data indicating an occupancy status of one or more seating zones in the vehicle and determines, based on the sensor data, that a particular seating zone in the vehicle is occupied. In response to determining that the particular seating zone is occupied, the computing device modifies the electronic digital assistant by disabling at least one of (i) one or more voice commands of the electronic digital assistant or (ii) a wake word for activating the electronic digital assistant.

  • Patent number: 12538112
Abstract: A communication system and method are provided for establishing cross-agency communications for managing an incident scene. Converged devices are paired to in-vehicle computers of public safety (PS) vehicles, each PS vehicle having a different agency role. Device capabilities are compared to determine communication commonalities amongst the paired devices of vehicles of different agency roles. One or more frequency channels common to the devices associated with the deployed vehicles of different agency roles are determined. Communication is established amongst devices associated with vehicles of different agency roles using the determined common channel.

  • Patent number: 12472823
Abstract: A device, system, and method for controlling a vehicle display and a mobile display into a threat mode is provided. A system comprises a vehicle display of a vehicle; and a mobile device communicatively coupled to the vehicle, the mobile device comprising: a mobile display. The system further comprises a controller that determines a threat associated with the vehicle; and a threat type; and in response to determining the threat, controls the vehicle display and the mobile display to switch to a threat mode by: controlling the vehicle display to: provide one or more graphical threat indications indicating one or more of: the threat; and the threat type; and controls the mobile display to: provide one or more threat-related applications associated with the threat, that may be for one or more of interacting with, and modifying, one or more graphical threat indications at the vehicle display.

  • Patent number: 12417689
Abstract: A device, system, and method for electronic access control to reunify persons is provided. A device determines, using electronic data, a modality of an incident associated with a premises. The device determines: one or more routes associated with the premises and the modality; and electronic reunification data associated with the modality, the electronic reunification data defining one or more first persons and one or more second persons that are to meet in association with the incident and in accordance with the one or more routes. The device controls access points at the premises, along the one or more routes, to one or more of unlock, lock, open, or close. The device transmits one or more notifications to one or more communication devices, indicative of the electronic reunification data.

  • Patent number: 10817625
Abstract: A process for triggering and propagating a covert mode status change using configuration protocol data includes, while a computing device is in a non-covert mode, maintaining one or more externally-perceivable output devices according to non-covert-configuration data of a non-covert profile; in response to detecting a trigger: changing the computing device to a covert mode; selecting a covert profile; controlling the externally-perceivable output devices according to covert-configuration data of the covert profile; and transmitting an instruction message to each of one or more second computing devices, the instruction message comprising: a status change message to place each of the one or more second computing devices in a respective covert mode; and covert-configuration protocol data mapped to the covert-configuration data of the covert profile, such that respective externally-perceivable output devices, at the one or more second computing devices, are controlled according to the covert-configuration protoco
