Publication number: 20230136876Abstract: The present disclosure provides new and innovative bone anchors and bone anchor insertion systems that enable smaller bone holes by eliminating the need for a cannula to transport the bone anchor. The provided bone anchors and insertion systems also help prevent damage to suture used in a bone anchor insertion procedure. The bone anchor includes a securement portion that surrounds a core portion. The securement portion includes multiple wings that are shape-set to be splayed outward from the core portion, though may be bent towards or away from the core portion in response to an applied force. The core portion includes a rod extending from a head. The rod includes a drive feature such that a surgeon may engage an inserter with the rod to drive the bone anchor through a bone hole. The bone hole walls maintain the bone anchor in a compressed state.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2022Publication date: May 4, 2023Inventors: Steven A. Patent number: 8326680Abstract: An anomaly detector compares a first event from a business activity monitoring system to a second number from an independent trusted source, wherein the first event includes a first number. The anomaly detector determines that the first number from the business activity monitoring system is inconsistent with the second number. The anomaly detector generates a calibration relationship between first number and second number based on time, responsive to a determination that the first number is inconsistent with the second number. The anomaly detector stores the calibration relationship. The anomaly detector receives a third number from the business activity monitoring system at an interval after comparing the first number. The anomaly detector displays the third number to a dashboard. The anomaly detector displays a qualifier to the third number.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2010Date of Patent: December 4, 2012Assignee: International Business Machine CorporationInventors: Kiet Nguyen, Annapureddy S. Reddy, Arvind Srinivasan, Shubha S. Tangirala

Publication number: 20070136179Abstract: Reverse auction services are provided by processing a user logon request. If the user selects a buy transaction, these reverse auction services include providing a buy transaction service to the user. If the user selects a sell transaction, these reverse auction services include a sell transaction service. The buy transaction service includes permitting the user to submit a buy transaction without entering an initial bid price. In another example, the sell transaction service may include using a user interface having a bid price field for receiving a pricing format that includes a non-realized value portion. In a further example, the pricing format may further include a realized value portion. In yet another further example, a user who has previously submitted a buy transaction that is currently pending may cancel that buy transaction even if a valid bid has been submitted for the buy transaction.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2005Publication date: June 14, 2007Inventor: Kiet Nguyen

Patent number: 4609916Abstract: The method consists of displaying, as colored background control variables, the brightness Y, the saturation S and the hue T which are desired and of deducing therefrom the coefficients of the primary colors red, green and blue by means of calculating and switching circuits. The function of the switching circuits is to choose, as a function of the hue signal, those of the signal supplied by the calculating circuits which will constitute the coefficients of the primary colors.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 1984Date of Patent: September 2, 1986Assignee: Thomson CSFInventors: Thierry Bedos, Roland Clerissi, Jacques Vallee, Kiet Nguyen Xuan
