    Abstract: A ringing choke converter which comprises an output transformer having a primary winding, a secondary winding, and a feedback winding and/or a control winding, a main switching transistor having its collector connected to the primary winding and its base and emitter connected to the feedback winding, and a rectifying diode connected to the secondary winding. In accordance with the present invention, a control transistor is connected between the base and emitter of the main transistor; a time constant circuit composed of a resistor and a capacitor is connected across the feedback winding or control winding; the connection point between the resistor and the capacitor is connected to the base of the control transistor; and an adjusting circuit for adjusting the charging time constant of the capacitor in accordance with the output voltage is connected to the connection point.
