  • Patent number: 7367086
Abstract: A string type air damper includes a cylinder formed in a tubular shape, defining a guide hole at one end portion thereof, a piston, which moves in the cylinder, a helical spring for biasing the piston toward the other end portion of the cylinder, and a string member guided from inside of the cylinder to outside thereof through the guide hole. The piston and the string member are integrally formed. Since the string member is formed integrally with the piston, unlike a method according to a related art, it becomes unnecessary to form a loop at the base end portion of the string member with a complicated work and form a hook portion at the piston and hook the base end portion of the string member at the hook portion of the piston. Therefore, the string type air damper can be very easily assembled.

  • Patent number: 6253975
Abstract: A cup holder for a vehicle includes a housing 1 fixed on the vehicle's side, a slide member 11 movably supported in the housing back and forth, and a holder body 21 provided with two holding hole 22 for holding cups and movably supported by the slide member 11 left and right. The holder body 21 has its rear part whose one side portion is cut away slantingly so that a width of the rear part is smaller than that of a front part of the holder body 21. The cup holder further includes a tensile coil spring 31 between the slide member 11 and the holder body 21, for urging the holder body 21 to one lateral direction of the slide member 11 by the spring 31. Owing to the provision of the spring 31, the handling of the holder body 21 can be completed under a little resistance, improving the manipulating feeling.

  • Patent number: 6220583
Abstract: An air damper of the present invention is provided with a cylinder whose one end is closed and other end is open; a piston which is movable along an axial direction of the cylinder within the cylinder in a state where an end of a string is connected to the piston; a recess groove formed in a peripheral surface of the piston; an O-ring seal between the cylinder and the piston and movably fitted to the recess groove; a coil spring butted against one of a pair of flanges defining the recess groove of the piston for biasing the piston toward the one end of the cylinder; a hook provided on one of the pair of flanges, the end of the string being attached to the hook; and opposed notches formed by notching portions of the pair of flanges of the piston corresponding to opposite sides of the hook.
