  • Patent number: 7807944
Abstract: A laser processing apparatus for performing processing such as perforation on a ceramic green sheet etc. using a laser beam efficiently. The laser processing apparatus is provided with a plurality of optical path systems disposed between a laser oscillator and an irradiation position control optical system for irradiating a predetermined position on a work piece with a laser beam. The plurality of optical path systems includes an optical path system that guides the laser beam to the irradiation position control optical system without changing its cross sectional shape in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the laser beam and an optical path system that guides the laser beam while changing its cross sectional shape so that these optical path systems are selectively used in accordance with the processing condition.

  • Patent number: 7665499
Abstract: In a laminating apparatus for a ceramic green sheet according to the present invention, cutting means and laminating means are positioned on a conveying path of a carrier film conveyed by conveying means. Specifically, cutting of the ceramic green sheet and lamination of sheet pieces are carried out on a single conveying path. Consequently, the reduction of production efficiency is prevented significantly. Furthermore, the position of the cutting means and the position of the laminating means are different. Therefore, even when cut scraps are generated when the ceramic green sheet is cut by the cutting means, the cut scraps are significantly prevented from entering between layers in a green sheet laminated body.

  • Publication number: 20060219070
Abstract: A cutting apparatus for a ceramic green sheet according to the present invention is a cutting apparatus for a ceramic green sheet for cutting a ceramic green sheet held on a carrier film into a square-shaped sheet piece, and comprises four roller cutters, each of which is disposed so as to correspond to each edge of the sheet piece, and moving means for moving the roller cutters along the corresponding edges of the sheet piece. In this cutting apparatus, the four edges of the sheet piece are cut by the roller cutters, thus cutting failures on the ceramic green sheet are significantly prevented. Furthermore, each of the edges of the sheet piece is cut without changing the position of the cutters, thus improvement of cutting dimensional accuracy is realized, compared to the conventional apparatus in which the position of the cutter is changed when cutting each edge.

  • Patent number: 5715452
Abstract: To transfer a file comprising block data at high speed between sequential access type auxiliary memories, a file transmission program inquires of an operating system about the physical storage positions of the block data, determines a reading order to reduce the read access time on the basis of the results of inquiry, and issues read requests sequentially to the operating system according to the reading order. The file transmission program requests the operating system to transmit the read block data. The block data together with respective logical identification data, for example, logical block numbers, are transmitted to a receiving end which may be another computing system. The operating system at the receiving end is requested to secure the number of physical data blocks required to store the block data.

  • Patent number: 5481702
Abstract: A method of seeking a vacant memory area uses area management tables having 1 MB and 4 kB unit area sizes for controlling the vacancy/occupancy status of each unit area of a file allocation space in a disk memory, and a free area seek program which seeks a vacant area of a requested size by selectively using the tables depending on the requested size. The program first seeks a vacant area based on the table of larger unit area size to thereby determine the major part the area required and then seeks a vacant area based on the table of smaller unit area size for determining the rest of the area required.

  • Patent number: 5335334
Abstract: A region comprising a plurality of real pages in a part of a real storage unit is provided with a first key storage unit having a plurality of key storage entries each corresponding to one of the plurality of real pages, while a second region comprising a plurality of real pages in the second part of the real storage unit is provided with a second key storage unit having a single key storage entry. When a real address designated by an instruction to be executed belongs to the first region, an entry corresponding to this address is accessed by a storage protection control circuit. When this address belongs to the second region, the second key storage unit is accessed irrespective of the address. Further, a key within the accessed key information is compared with a key on a program status word (PSW) allocated to a program to determine whether the execution of the instruction is permitted.

  • Patent number: 5293599
Abstract: A process for partially swapping real storage areas used by a program is utilized in a computer system which executes programs by multiprogramming under control of a virtual storage type operating system. A first portion of a real storage area, allocated to a program to be swapped out, remains allocated to that program while the contents of a second portion of the real storage area are saved in an auxiliary storage so that the second portion is deallocated from that program. The saved contents of the second portion stored in the auxiliary storage are loaded in the real storage when the program is to be swapped in.

  • Patent number: 4868740
Abstract: A data processor which specifies either of a predetermined maximum length of an adddress (a bits) and a length of an address less than the former length and at plural registers having a number of length of bits (r bits) of the maximum address length or greater. The data processor reads out lower-order d bits for data or r bits for an address of the one of the plural registers (7) specified by a first instruction to perform an arithmetic or logic operation, and writes the result into one of the plural registers. Moreover, the processor reads out bits having specified length of an address from the one of the plural registers specified in a second instruction to generate an a-bit address, and reads out d for data or r bits for an address from a main storage device (5) in response to the thus-generated address to write the d or r bits into one of the plural registers.

  • Patent number: 4851989
Abstract: A data processing apparatus for an address boundary check circuit employed in combination with a virtual storage comprises a segment table register provided in association with an address translation table for storing an area discriminating signal indicating whether data to be checked in respect to the address boundary is assigned to unit areas resulting from division of the virtual storage and holding a limit address signal indicating the extent of the area assigned to data which requires an address boundary check of a virtual address accessing the data when the data is found in that area, a register holding a virtual base address for storing a register discriminating signal indicating whether or not the base address is for data to be checked in respect to the address boundary, and an address boundary check circuitry for deciding on the basis of the aforementioned first to third signals whether or not a virtual address calculated in response to an instruction erroneously goes beyond the address boundary.
