  • Patent number: 6833521
Abstract: A movable contact is mounted on the vicinity of one end of a movable contact piece having a generally U-like shape and made of an elastic member. A recess of a generally circular arc-shape in section is formed on the vicinity of the other end of the movable contact piece to extend in the direction of the width thereof. The movable contact piece is swingably supported by the movable contact piece support member, and a generally circular arc-shaped tip in section of a movable contact piece actuator of an operation button is engaged with the recess. The movable contact piece actuator swingable with the swinging movement of the operation button causes the movable contact piece to be swung to the switch-on position where the movable contact thereof comes into contact with a fixed contact mounted on a fixed contact piece or the switch-off position where the movable contact is away from the fixed contact.

  • Patent number: 6759932
Abstract: There is provided a magnetic sensor switch in which its magnetic sensor is responsive to approach of a magnet to turn its electrical switch on or off. A cylindrical magnetic sensor having magnetic poles contrary to each other at opposite ends thereof is mounted for rotation in clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. An auxiliary magnet is movably mounted on a longitudinal extension line of the magnetic sensor when the magnetic sensor is in the horizontal position so that the auxiliary magnet provides an attracting force and a repulsive force to the magnetic sensor to rotate it in one direction. The movement of the magnetic sensor is transmitted to a movable contact piece through a driving member to rotate the movable contact piece in one direction depending upon the rotation of the magnetic sensor. The movable contact piece is provided with a pair of contact blades one of which is contacted with one of a pair of fixed contact pieces disposed in opposition to the corresponding contact blades.

  • Patent number: 6538542
Abstract: A magnetic sensor switch is provided in which a magnetic sensor is responsive only when a magnet approaches it, to turn electrical contacts of the switch on and off. A cylindrical magnetic sensor having oppositely polarized magnetic poles at opposite ends thereof is mounted for rotation in clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. An auxiliary magnet is located in a region outside of the rotating radius of the magnetic sensor and in the vicinity of one magnetic pole of the magnetic sensor. The auxiliary magnet imparts a biasing force for holding the magnetic sensor at a position rotated through a predetermined angle. A movable contact piece is attached to the magnetic sensor and is adapted to be rotated as the magnetic sensor is rotated to thereby bring corresponding contact or contacts of the movable contact piece into contact with one of a pair of fixed contact pieces located in opposition to the contacts of the movable contact piece.

  • Patent number: 6262383
Abstract: In a tact switch in which pressing operation on an operating portion of an actuator member will cause the forward end portion of the actuator member to be pushed toward the bottom surface of a housing while being guided by an inclined surface so that the forward end portion (flexible portion) of the actuator member is flexed to press down on the marginal regions of a movable contact piece whereby the curved section of the movable contact piece is flipped over, a cam defining the inclined surface is provided separately from the housing. The movable contact piece, the actuator member, the cam and a top lid may be assembled together simply by stacking them sequentially from above onto the housing.

  • Patent number: 5508485
Abstract: A pushbutton switch is provided comprising a pushbutton having its lower portion inserted in a pushbutton housing section and being formed in its lower end with a pin accommodating hole; a pin having its upper end portion resiliently held in the pin accommodating hole by a coil spring; and a movable contact support having a movable contact piece therein and held in a switch housing section for seesaw motions by the lower end of the pin, whereby electric connection of the common contact is switched between two fixed contacts. A spring retainer plate to which the lower end of the coil spring is fixed is housed in the switch housing section for vertically upward and downward sliding movements. The spring retainer plate is formed at its opposite ends with legs depending therefrom for always maintaining the posture of the spring retainer plate parallel to the bottom panel.

  • Patent number: 4740661
Abstract: A common contact and at least one fixed contact are planted on an insulating bottom panel of an insulating case. A movable contact piece formed by bending a conductive spring material into a U-shape to have a pair of opposed contact leaves is pivotally mounted on the common contact so that it is turned from side to side by an actuator such as a push button or toggle lever. As the movable contact piece turns from one side to the other, it makes sliding contact with the fixed contact gripping it between the pair of opposed contact leaves.

  • Patent number: 3989915
Abstract: A toggle switch comprises a casing including a bottom plate of an insulating material through which extend a common terminal as well as first and second transfer terminals. A rod-shaped movable contact member is retained on the common terminal intermediate its length for seesaw motion for causing the movable contact member to contact the first and the second transfer terminals alternately. An interposing piece of an insulating material is disposed on the movable contact member and is engaged by a pusher which is resiliently urged toward the terminals and is displaced toward the first or the second transfer terminal relative to the common terminal under the control of operating means. Such operation produces the seesaw motion of the interposing piece and the movable contact member.
