    Abstract: A joint fitting for use in a unit building provides a box-like support structure for respective ends of a column and beams to strengthen a connection or joint between the column and the beams, with a simple assembling work and low cost involved. In one preferred form, the metal fitting is used in a unit building including a plurality of unit blocks connected together in vertical, longitudinal and transverse directions and each composed of a rectangular tube-like column and at least two rectangular tube-like beams connected together. The joint fitting is composed of a substantially box-shaped metal frame member including at least one column engagement portion fittingly engageable with an end of at least one column, and at least two beam engagement portions fittingly engageable with respective ends of at least two beams.

    Abstract: A connecting pin has a body of great strength which will not come off position when locked and will not be caught on the way of insertion and removal.In the connecting pin, a flange 10 for locking is provided on the rear end of a column-like body. A long hole 11 is formed through in the shank part on the forward end side of the body. A shaft 12 is inserted in the shank part on the forward end side of the body in a direction intersecting the long hole and opposed two holes 17 are formed in parallel with this shaft. A lock piece 13 supported on the aforesaid shaft at a midway point and having a plurality of slots 16 in both sides is rotatably inserted and in the hole is inserted a positioning member which selectively engages in one of the slots.

    Abstract: A locking device is disclosed for locking a brace having an opening therethrough, which comprises a bar member adapted to extend through the opening having a groove defined therein at a spaced location from a front end of the bar member which is insertable into the brace opening. A stopping piece is rotatably mounted in the groove having a hook or abutment portion at the front end thereof engageable with a front side of the groove to limit a rotation of the stopping piece in one direction, and engaging stop and projection portions at a rear end of the stopping piece. A vertical surface is defined on the engaging stop portion for abutting the brace, to lock the brace on the bar member. The projecting portion is provided to prevent an overrotation of the stopping piece.
