    Abstract: A method for transmitting and receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a phase noise compensation reference signal (PCRS) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes receiving, from a base station, control information related to a transmission of a downlink data, the control information including at least one of a precoding scheme related to the downlink data, a number of transmission ranks, or a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) level; checking a transmission location of a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) for demodulating the downlink data based on the received control information; and receiving, from the base station, the PCRS on at least one symbol after a transmission symbol of the DM-RS considering the checked transmission location of the DM-RS.
