  • Patent number: 11678999
Abstract: An intervertebral implant with two opposite contact surfaces configured to bear regionally on vertebral bodies and are spaced apart from each other along a vertical axis and are each arranged on support elements which are adjustable relative to each other. The support elements are guided adjustably relative to each other along a circular arc contour oriented on a longitudinal axis extending perpendicular to the vertical axis in such a way that, by adjustment of the two support elements relative to each other along the circular arc contour, a spacing of the two contact surfaces with respect to the vertical axis and/or an angle setting of the two contact surfaces relative to each other can be predefined and/or modified.

  • Patent number: 9675398
Abstract: An implant contains two end pieces disposed coaxially and at an axial distance, a cage, which connects the end pieces, and webs connecting the two end pieces. The two ends of each web are offset from each other by an equal initial angle in an initial state of the implant. The implant can be expanded by rotation of the end pieces in opposite directions about the center longitudinal axis. A tool for the implant has a handle and a main element with a receptacle for the implant and with two rotating devices, which act with a force fit on engaging elements of the implant and can be rotated oppositely in relation to each other.

  • Patent number: 9198777
Abstract: A manipulating tool for a medical implant includes an actuating rod. The rod has a rear end with a grip part and a fixing element at the front end for the releasable axial fixing of the implant. The implant has a counter element suitable for fixing, which has at least two undercuts spaced apart relative to an axis of its body with one respective holding surface oriented in the direction of the interior of the body. The manipulating tool has at least two clamping jaws being at a radial distance from the central longitudinal axis of the actuating rod, for engaging behind the undercuts on the implant side. The clamping jaws are spaced apart in the peripheral direction. A kit for implant medicine includes a medical implant and a corresponding manipulating tool.

  • Patent number: 8864799
Abstract: A rod connector for transversely connecting two vertebral column rods has two clamps and a transverse bridge that fixes the clamps to each other. The clamps have a spring device with a spring force that is low enough to allow the clamp to be manually snapped onto the vertebral column rod, to be slid onto the same in the installed state, and to be released from same. An attaching device for the clamp, which is independent of the spring device, generates a retaining force that is high enough to solidly attach the clamp on the vertebral column rod in the installed state. The transverse bridge has a connection part with a frame for receiving a first branch connected to one clamp and with a ball rotatably mounted in the frame and having a second branch pass therethrough that connects to another clamp.

  • Patent number: 8182535
Abstract: A height-adjustable spinal implant has first and second components that are rotationally fixed relative to one another and axially movable along a central longitudinal axis of the implant. Each of the components have at least two wall segments that are fixed on a base and that extend in the direction of the central longitudinal axis and are at a radial distance from the latter. Circumferentially adjacent wall segments each flank a space in which a wall segment of the respective other component extends and is axially guided. A drive element is disposed in the interior of the implant that engages with the second component in a meshing relationship. The drive element bears, in the load direction, on the first component and has a toothed ring that is used for its rotary actuation. For the rotary actuation of the drive element, an access opening is present in a wall segment of the first component. The free ends of the wall segments of the first component are connected to each other by a holding element.
