  • Patent number: 4268090
Abstract: An imbalance compensating vehicle wheel attachment having a rim structure for mounting to a vehicle wheel, and further having a plurality of spokes or sectors coupled to the rim structure and extending radially inwardly to a hub structure. A mounting arrangement is provided to couple the inward extremities of the sectors to the hub structure to enable radial slidable movement of the sectors relative to the hub structure whereby the masses of the hub structure and sectors are dynamically movable to establish a radius of gyration tending to compensate for any wheel imbalance.

  • Patent number: 4178041
Abstract: A wheel balancing device for permanent wheel attachment. A rim of the device acts on the wheel periphery to confine same against vibrational movement. A hub and conical disc when acted on by centrifugal force during wheel rotation move axially toward the wheel to radially load the rim and displace same into forceful contact with the wheel periphery.

  • Patent number: 4134362
Abstract: Apparatus for applying fluid coloring material to the sidewall of a vehicle tire and including a stand adapted for placement on a supporting surface adjacent the vehicle tire. A holder including an applicator is mounted to the stand. The holder is vertically adjustable and the applicator is outwardly movable to apply coloring material to the vehicle tire sidewall. The applicator is normally biased into engagement with the sidewall, but a holding element is operative to hold the applicator away from the sidewall in an inoperative position when desired. The stand includes a base having a foot shelf extending inwardly of the base periphery whereby an operator can steady the stand by applying foot pressure to the inner extremity of the foot shelf.
