Publication number: 20230023257Abstract: A digital content package includes first content comprising a video feature such as a motion picture or the like, and a user-selectable application configured to operate as follows. When activated using an icon off of a menu screen, the application records an identifier for scenes (discrete portions) of the first content that are selected by a user to generate a playlist. The user may select the scenes by indicating a start and end of each scene. The application saves the playlist locally, then uploads to a server. Via a user account at the server, a user may publish the playlist to a user-created distribution list, webpage, or other electronic publication, and modify the playlist by deleting or reordering scenes.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 2, 2022Publication date: January 26, 2023Inventors: Kim Lau, Jacob Frautschi, Massimiliano Gasparri, Randy Lee, Patrick Harman

Patent number: 9977073Abstract: An apparatus includes a resistor and a circuit. The resistor may be fabricated on a die using a semiconductor process. The circuit may be fabricated on the die using the semiconductor process and may be configured to (i) generate a measurement voltage at a node of the resistor as a function of a capacitance value and a frequency of a clock signal and (ii) generate a codeword in response to the measurement voltage. The codeword generally has a plurality of possible values. A particular value of the possible values may verify that the voltage is between a plurality of threshold voltages.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2016Date of Patent: May 22, 2018Assignee: INTEGRATED DEVICE TECHNOLOY, INC.Inventor: Pak-Kim Lau

Patent number: 9590637Abstract: A frequency divider includes a multiplexer having a first input terminal coupled to receive a first value M and a second input terminal for receiving a second value that is M+LSB, the multiplexer is configured to alternately output the first value M and the second value. The frequency divider includes a multi-modulus divider coupled to the multiplexer for receiving the output of the multiplexer, the multi-modulus divider operable to alternately generate an output pulse at M input clock cycles and at M+LSB clock cycles. A divide-by-two counter having an input coupled to the output of the multi-modulus divider, is operable to divide the output of the multi-modulus divider to generate a divided clock signal having a frequency of N, where N is equal to 2M+LSB. Duty cycle correction logic is coupled to the output of the divide-by-two counter and is configured to correct the duty cycle of the divided clock signal to a fifty percent duty cycle when N is odd.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2015Date of Patent: March 7, 2017Assignee: INTEGRATED DEVICE TECHNOLOGY, INC.Inventors: Pak-Kim Lau, Min Chu

Patent number: 9100726Abstract: A media (e.g., Blu-Ray) first content package includes a link to an application for sending second content to a remote device, especially a mobile telephone. The application is included in the first content. The second content is not included in the first content. The application presents a list of second content choices, selectable by a user. The application receives a destination address for the second content from user input and sends the destination address to a second content server. The second content server contacts the remote device having the indicated destination address, and confirms that receipt of second content will be accepted. Upon receiving confirmation, the second content server transmits the second content to the remote device. The technology may be used to provide content to mobile devices, such as mobile phones, in association with distributed media such as Blu-Ray discs configured for being played by a media player.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2009Date of Patent: August 4, 2015Assignee: WARNER BROS. Publication number: 20110264551Abstract: Non-exclusive license rights to discrete data products for audio-visual content are licensed to users connecting via a plurality of clients, using a computer. Each of the discrete data products is controlled such that each data product cannot be used to produce audio-visual output for a licensed user until a respective one of release dates defined in a computer memory. In addition, the computer may serve an electronic trading interface to the clients, which is configured to enable any current licensee holding any one of the licenses during a trading period prior to the respective release date for the discrete data product licensed thereby to complete a sale of the any one of the licenses to a participating bidder in an online electronic marketplace publishing current bid prices and ask prices for ones of the licenses offered for sale. The computer may also register successful trades resulting in license transfers.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 21, 2011Publication date: October 27, 2011Inventor: Kim Lau
