  • Patent number: 8948692
Abstract: A computing device is operated to detect a signal generated from an inductive signal interface. The detected signal may be generated by the device's inductive signal interface being in operational proximity to an inductive signal interface of another device. A notification feedback is generated that confirms an event related to the first and second computing device inductively signaling one another.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 29, 2011
Date of Patent: February 3, 2015
    Assignee: QUALCOMM Incorporated
Inventors: Samantha Berg, Kim Lenox, Robert Brown, Vitaly Kruglikov, Manjirnath Chatterjee
  • Patent number: 8850045
Abstract: A device is enabled to establish a secure and persistent pairing with one another across a communication medium, using credential information that is exchanged out-of-band.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 29, 2011
Date of Patent: September 30, 2014
    Assignee: QUALCOMM Incorporated

  • Publication number: 20090259936
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and computer program products are provided for generating a preview of a content item. In this regard, generating a preview may be included in updating a content item. A preview of a content item may be generated by retrieving the content item via an interface, where the interface is determined from data associated with the content item. Upon retrieval of a content item via the interface, a preview of the content item can be generated, such as by generating an image file having associated metadata. The metadata may be used for interacting with the preview such as by linking the preview to additional, related content items. A request may also be received to update a content item, where the request is generated based on a current context of the content item and a triggering event.
