  • Publication number: 20240155181
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided reducing storage space occupied by a media asset by adjusting quality levels of the media asset downward over time. This may be accomplished by a media guidance application that store, at a given time, the media asset in a first format having a first quality level. The media guidance application retrieves, from a database, a data entry corresponding to the media asset and determines, based on the data entry, a threshold period of time for storing the media asset in the first format. The media guidance application detects whether the threshold period of time since the given time has passed and responds by altering a first portion of the media asset from the first format having the first quality level to a second format having a second quality level that is inferior to the first quality level.

  • Patent number: 11974982
Abstract: Compositions comprising an active oxygen-responsive antioxidant crystal, methods of making them, and methods for controlling the dissolution rate and/or altering the crystallization behavior of an antioxidant are disclosed. The crystals comprise an antioxidant and a disulfide- or diselenide-crosslinked polymer that is adsorbed onto a surface of the antioxidant. Upon exposure to an active-oxygen stimulus, the polymer de-crosslinks to release the antioxidant from the composition in an amount effective to counteract the stimulus. While prior approaches to altering dissolution rates have relied on passive zero- or first-order kinetics that are independent of ROS levels, the inventive compositions actively respond by releasing antioxidant in an amount proportional to the concentration of active-oxygen species present. The crystallization methods are simple and scalable.

  • Publication number: 20240071586
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying and presenting prior findings data in a radiology review workflow, based on natural language processing (NLP) of unstructured radiology report text, are disclosed. In an example, prior findings are generated with operations including: receiving text from a prior radiology report prepared for a patient in a prior radiology study; processing the text with a trained NLP engine to classify discrete prior findings in the prior radiology study that identify observed condition(s) and characteristics of the observed condition(s); and outputting or presenting the prior findings, such as in a radiology review user interface. In an example, the radiology review user interface displays the observed condition(s) and the characteristic(s) of the observed condition(s) to a user (e.g., a radiologist), and can apply sorting, filtering, or grouping based on pathology phrases or attribute words associated with the observed conditions or the characteristics of such observed conditions.

  • Publication number: 20150044351
Abstract: The method and dairy base formulation allow a user to prepare a milkshake in more consistent ways, more quickly, and with lower cost than currently available formulations and methods. The dairy base formulation eliminates the need to prepare and store frozen dairy products such as ice cream beforehand. A milkshake can be prepared by blending ice, the dairy base formulation, and a flavor. The resulting milkshake has desirable organoleptic properties.

  • Publication number: 20090206201
Abstract: An improved crew rest area for a freighter airplane. The crew rest structure extends into the stay out zone between the crew or supernumerary accommodations and cargo areas and has one of more collapsible or crushable structures. The collapsible structures allow the areas in the stay out zones to collapse or be displaced when subjected to crash loads without impinging on the crew or supernumerary seating areas. The collapsible wall members or panels can be hinged, slidable, bendable in an accordion-type manner, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20080138000
Abstract: A disposable food packaging ideal for use in feeding an infant or child, the packaging having rounded corners to permit easy insertion and removal from a crowded, diaper bag, purse, or other crowded carrying environment. Additionally, the packaging is contoured for easy handling and use. Further, the smooth corners minimize the risk of scratching an infant or child when the contents are expressed into mouth of the consumer.
