In one embodiment, an access device may obtain, by one or more cameras, images of an area captured at different time points, the images including a first image at a first time and a second image at a second time, and where the first image shows the user at a first location and the second image shows the user at a second location. The access device may, based on a position of the user and an association between the user and a communication device, conduct a transaction between the access device and the communication device, where the association between the user and the communication device is based on the first location being proximate to the communication device at the first time and the second location being proximate to the communication device at the second time.

While the normal processing is occurring for the transaction, the dynamic signature can be recalculated and compared with that from the payment device in order to assure that nothing has surreptitiously changed the values in the messages.

The portable device can be used with an access device. The access device can prompt the user for a biometric sample. Abstract: Described herein is a platform and method for generating a terminal location from transaction data. In some embodiments, location data is periodically provided to a service computer from multiple mobile devices. Additionally, transaction data related to terminals may be provided to the service provider by one or more entities. The service provider may be configured to match records in the received transaction data to records in the received location data to identify a set of potential terminal locations. In some embodiments, the set of potential terminal locations may be filtered according to one or more criteria. A terminal location may subsequently be approximated from the set of potential terminal locations.

Abstract: A method for utilizing a registration authority to facilitate a certificate signing request is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, a registration authority computer may receive a certificate signing request associated with a token requestor. The registration authority may authenticate the identity of the token requestor and forward the certificate signing request to a certificate authority computer. A token requestor ID and a signed certificate may be provided by the certificate authority computer and forwarded to the token requestor. The token requestor ID may be utilized by the token requestor to generate digital signatures for subsequent token-based transactions.

Certain embodiments allow the use of any biometric technology (e.g., fingerprint scan, iris scan, voice recognition, etc.) supported by their consumer device (e.g., smart phone, tablet computer, personal computer) to authenticate the user. Additionally, the consumer device provides unforgeable evidence of the biometric match in the form of a biometric digital artifact to provide proof to a processing network that the match occurred. The processing network maintains a history of these authenticated transactions and biometric digital artifacts and as more and more non-fraudulent authenticated transactions occur over time, a higher level of trust (i.e., lower risk) is associated with the consumer device, biometric registration process, and the user.
