  • Patent number: 9874065
Abstract: A workover riser arrangement designed to allow installation/retrieval of a coiled tubing suspended Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) into live wells is described. The installation takes place by the use of a coiled tubing as a running string that extends through respective apparatuses in said workover riser arrangement and further down towards the well bottom. The workover riser apparatus comprises a first (upper) dual stripper apparatus through which said coiled tubing is to extend, a second (lower) dual stripper apparatus through which said coiled tubing is to extend, a surface BOP, if required, and a surface flow tree arranged between the first and second dual stripper apparatus, an EDP, LRP and an XMT arranged below the second dual stripper apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9874076
Abstract: The invention provides a multipurpose tool arrangement for riserless invention of a subsea well. The multipurpose tool (40) which is adapted to be connected at the lower end to a Christmas tree (50) which has a tubing hanger (52) and an annulus bore (60?) being defined through said tubing hanger (52). Said tool (40) comprises a tubular element (48) and a Christmas tree connector (41), said multipurpose tool (40) is adapted to receive a second tool (64), which is operated by a cable (49), said second tool (64) in turn being adapted to install a plug (70) in said tubing hanger annulus bore (60?), through said multipurpose tool (40), said arrangement also comprising a pressure control head (47) through which said cable (49) extend. The invention also provides a method for removal or installing of a Christmas tree.

  • Patent number: 9845643
Abstract: A cable arrangement for feeding power and signals to downhole equipment, such as an electrically submersible pump (6), within an oil or gas well, comprising an upper suspension element (15), a lower connector (22), a docking station (11?) for the downhole equipment coupled to said connector (22), and a cable (8a), comprising lines for power and signal. The cable extends between, and is coupled to, the upper suspension element (15) and the lower connector (22). The docking station (11?) is adapted for attachment to the inner surface of a production tubing (5), that a narrow gap is formed between the production tubing (5) and the downhole equipment (6). The cable (8) is shaped to fit inside the gap by having a first dimension in the radial direction of the gap, which is smaller than the gap and a second dimension in the tangential direction of the gap, which is substantially larger than the first dimension.
