Abstract: A system for managing a application includes a clock unit outputting time signals, a storage unit storing an age table, a detection unit and a resetting unit. The application includes a logical pointer and a flag carrying a flag bit. The age table includes ordered logical headers and age values, each logical header associated with an age value, the logical pointer pointing to one logical header, the age value having an increment as the logical pointer moves forward along the logical headers. The detection unit receives the time signals and reads the flag bit and moves the logical pointer to a succeeding logical header with a first step if the flag bit changes and with a second step if the flag bit remains unchanged during interval between two time signals. The second step is larger than the first step. The resetting unit resets the flag bit.

The conversion unit is configured for converting the detected angular velocities and accelerations, in analog format, into usable data. The indexing unit is configured for seeking a character corresponding to user input in the character database according to the usable data, and outputting the corresponding character. The output module is configured for receiving the corresponding characters from the indexing unit and determining the password.

Abstract: A battery charging station, for a robot, includes a base, two side-walls barriers, a stop, a supporting arm, a charging connector, and a transmitter. The side-walls barriers are separately mounted on the base. The stop is mounted on the back of the base to form a docking space together with the barriers and the base. The supporting arm is cantilever mounted on the stop by one free end thereof with the other end extending into the space over the docking space. The charging connector is mounted on the free end of the supporting arm and is configured for providing an electrical connection between the robot and a power source. The transmitter is positioned on the upper surface of the supporting arm and is configured for emitting signals for the robot to locate the re battery charging station.

The processor calculates a displacement of the motion sensor according to the sensing signals from the motion sensor, converts the displacement into displacement signals, analyzes the images to determine eyelid movements of the operator, and generates activation commands according to the eyelid movements. The transmission control unit is configured for monitoring the sensor, outputting a window in response to the sensor signal generated by the sensor, and controlling the interface controller to terminate the data transmission through the one or more connectors in response to a user input to the window. The wireless communication module receives a text message from the mobile phone, the text message comprising a tag corresponding to one motion control program. A center controller invokes a corresponding one of predetermined motion control programs corresponding to the tag. The drive units drive the action units to motion under the control of the corresponding motion control program.

Abstract: A control system comprises a master processor, a main memory and multiple slave processors. The main memory stores programs, and a signal-program table for storing relationships between the programs and input signals. The multiple slave processors are configured for sending input signals in response to external stimuli to the master processor, and executing programs corresponding to the input signals sent back by the master processor. The master processor is configured for interrogating the signal-program table to determine the corresponding programs according to one of the input signals, searching the main memory for acquiring the corresponding programs, determining which one or more of the multiple slave processors should execute the corresponding programs, and transmitting each of the corresponding programs to the one or more of the multiple slave processors. A related control method is also provided.

Abstract: A method for booting a computer is provided. The computer includes a booting apparatus. The method includes the steps of: powering on the booting apparatus; generating a selection signal that indicates whether a first firmware or a second firmware is to be read; acquiring the selected firmware according to the selection signal; running the acquired firmware to power on and initialize a CPU and chipsets of the computer; indicating the CPU a data path of a corresponding OS according to the acquired firmware; loading the corresponding OS; receiving commands sent by the loaded OS; and indicating the CPU to execute the commands according to the acquired firmware. A related booting apparatus is also provided.
