  • Patent number: 8186646
Abstract: Valve trim retention apparatus for use with valves are described. An example valve trim retention apparatus includes a liner to retain a valve seat within a valve body. The liner includes an outer surface having first external threads to engage a first threaded opening of the valve body. A ring retainer engages the liner and has second external threads to engage a second threaded opening of the valve body. The first and second threaded openings cause the liner and the ring retainer to move in opposite directions when the liner and the ring retainer are rotated in same direction.
