Abstract: Methods and system to identify similar exams are described. An example computer-implemented method to identify similar exams includes selecting a category. Additionally, the example method includes comparing the selected category to records associated with exams to identify any of the exams that include information related to the category. Further, the example method includes displaying the exams identified as related to the category to a healthcare practitioner. Further still, the example method includes visually differentiating at least one of the displayed exams based on a significance level associated with the at least one of the displayed exams.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a system for medical report dictation including a database component, a voice recognition component, and a user interface component. The database component is adapted to store a plurality of available templates. Each of the plurality of available templates is associated with a template cue. Each template cue includes a list of elements. The voice recognition component is adapted to convert a voice data input to a transcription data output. The user interface component is adapted to receive voice data from a user related to an image and the user interface component is adapted to present a visual indicator to the user. The visual indicator is based on a template cue associated with a template selected from the plurality of available templates. The user interface utilizes the voice recognition component to update the visual indicator.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for automatically routing a diagnostic interpretation from diagnostic data received from a diagnostic source. The diagnostic interpretation is produced automatically using a voice recognition system. Along with the transcription of the interpretation, the voice recognition system returns a level of confidence of the voice recognition. Based on this level of confidence, the system automatically routes the transcribed interpretation to the appropriate destination for further processing.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, methods and systems are provided for facilitating and managing communications between healthcare service referrers and healthcare service providers. Such communications are transacted via digital networks in connection with a healthcare information system. Referral of various diagnostic and therapeutic specialties is tracked from the initiation by the referrers to the completion of the services by the specialty service providers. Validation of insurance authorization is performed automatically if needed. Reports on the results of a requested specialty service as well as intermediate recommendations are made available to the referrer or other relevant entities upon completion of the service.
