    Abstract: An authentication VLAN management apparatus acquires from the standard LAN switch a MAC address or an IP address of a terminal connected to a standard LAN switch, and authenticates the terminal based on the acquired MAC address or IP address. Based on the above authentication result, the authentication VLAN management apparatus assigns a predetermined VLAN to the terminal, and sets the standard LAN switch so that the terminal can access to the assigned VLAN.
