    Abstract: An azo-pigment represented by the general formula: ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group, an unsubstituted phenyl group or a substituted phenyl group, R.sub.2 is a residue of a phenylenediamine, and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, a methoxy group or a halogen atom. The azo-pigment of the present invention is useful in applications where azo-pigments are used.

    Abstract: Azo pigments having the formula ##STR1## wherein X represents hydrogen or halogen atom; n represents an integer of 1 to 4; R.sub.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group; R.sub.2 represents a moiety of a coupling component which has one coupling site and R.sub.3 represents a moiety of a coupling component which has two coupling sites.The azo pigments can be produced by coupling a coupling component with a diazonium compound of an aromatic amine having the formula ##STR2## wherein X, n and R.sub.1 are defined above.
