    Abstract: A method of welding a plurality of connection ends of a plurality of copper segments forming a circumferentially disposed stator winding of a rotary electric machine. The method includes a step of inserting a protection member between connection ends of adjacent two of the plurality of copper segments, a step of activating a welder tool, and a step of circumferentially moving the welder tool relative to the connection ends.
